Just a heads up, this is based off of my Riyalec Family AU

Ellie: He gave up?! Just like that! I bet Riya's pissed off about it.

Jake: Alec gave up?

Miriam: Well now... seems Anastasia knocked some sense into him.

Connor: No way... he's done with the game. I hope Riya isn't taking it too badly.

James: Well damn! Raya must be taking this badly.

Yul: Never thought the nerd would ever give up a chance to compete again. Though I bet the Extra is just bawling her eyes out.

Grett: Wow... I cannot believe he's really done. Kiddo's alone now though.

For a while he was having people reassure him that he wasn’t the issue in his relationship with his ex wife and son but he is and he couldn’t acknowledge it since he had everyone telling him he wasn’t

It’s great that he finally found people he could trust and be around like Connor and Fiore but they were not helping him

So when Anastasia came along and told him off for being a horrendous father he took it to heart

Hence why when he got to the sign he chose to go to the motel because he finally understood he was the issue and needed to get his shit together and left the game behind

Hopefully he and his wife can patch things and he can start being a good father I’m rooting for him my Shayla
