I just think I'd be funny if Harley and Ivy had like a bestie. Y'know they're nice and all, very good friend
Problem is that they're crushing on Bane of all people. He's like slightly pathetic and they love him. Every time he does anything that might be dangerous, stupid or just generally weird and embarassing, Harley and Ivy just give their friend the side eye and ask
Harley: "are you sure you like him? You could do better- like- like the Riddler!"
Ivy: "Harley honey that's- he's not a better option"
Friend: "Just shut up- he's just! He's just going through some stuff! Also no I don't want the Riddler."
oml i love him too 🥰🥰 he gives me big himbo energy. also sorry for answering late I was watching season 1
I imagine their shared friend has to be chaotic enough to either be on Harley team's as a full-fledged member rather than being a civilian or a Rogue that's honestly just along for the ride and acts as a voice of reason second to Ivy. They could also be someone Harley has known well prior to becoming a Rogue and simply sticks with her.
As for their crush on Bane, Harley does everything in her power to show her friend that Bane isn't that great to be with. Not because he's a bad person - ignoring his war crimes - but mainly because he's just so dumb most of the time she just can't fathom it. I can see her asking other teammates for their inputs, which wildly vary from Clayface's imagination running wild of a "hard man turned soft for the one he will soon love" trope to Dr. Pyscho's rather harsh and realistic opinion on both Bane and Harleys' friend's feelings for him.
Ivy can be reasoned with to maybe see why they like him in the first place and might dissuade them so they'll find someone she believes better for them. She'll reluctantly acquiesce if her friend is adamant about dating him, runs out of talking points, or simply feels her words will not sway her friend. Either of the two girls will point out in their own ways another reason why Bane may not be the best love interest just to be shot down. I can see Harley playing Cupid by setting up blind dates with various Gotham citizens and criminals that could be a 'good match' under the guise that she used her connections to the Rogue Gallery to further deter them much to Ivy's dismay. I feel like it would up to Ivy to let their friend know the true reason behind the dates which would make them ruin the dates on purpose or straight up not show at all.
