There's been lots of headcanons surrounding DL!Scott's reasons for being mad at DL!Pearl, so I like to throw out the idea that he wasn't actually mad at Pearl, but really the Watchers and their game... aka Soulbounds.

Martyn is stUUUuuUUck-

Jimmy, for the last few years, has been a school teacher. Not his first choice of jobs but he's enjoys teaching the youth and people tell him how good he is with the kids so he must being doing something right.

Thats about all he can remember as he looks around the white round room he's woken up in.

... It takes Jimmy a few days to remember why he's in space. Actually, the information comes quickly to him, it just takes a few days to stop freaking out every time he's reminded of it.

When Jimmy meets Tango he's both incredibly freaked out and in awe. A creature made purely of fire, sentient and intelligent. In the moment he saw Tango and his glow all he could think was, 'Beautiful' with the way the flames glowed through the clear barrier between them. It reminded jimmy of warm days and cool breezes as light shined shyly through glass windows. Then his mind let out incoherent yelps as Tango was able to change the shape of his flames to take a stance too similar to a humans.
