On Thursdays, we clap 👏 I had the upmost pleasure of being allowed to read an advanced digital copy of The Age of Witches by Louisa Morgan. Thank you again to NetGalley and Orbit for allowing me to. I loved the atmosphere of this novel. The Age of Witches is set in 1890, and Morgan's does a great job of transporting us to New York and then again to Seabeck, and its costal views. I enjoyed the witch concept. Much like how "traditional" witches are portrayed: with herbs and manikins. This is something I haven't experienced much when it comes to witch themed books, so I loved how natural it was. The plot was really interesting, and though you could see how it was going to play out from a distance, it took a twist and I wasn't expecting that. It made the story so much better. The characters relationships is where I was drawn too. I enjoyed each character for their own reasons and having them interact with each other made me very happy. Even though I was given the ebook to read and review, I was enjoying it so much that I bought the audiobook so I could continue to listen while I worked on house hold chores (... animal crossing really) and the actresses voice was amazing!
