Speaking of Kikuchi, the creators must have loved his score for Dead Zone/DBZ movie 1 a lot considering how many of its tracks were used frequently in the show proper, specifically during the Saiyan and Namek/Freeza arcs. For good reason too.

This soundtrack is part of DBZ's aura and dna lol, without this soundtrack, the frieza saga isn't the same
So me and @goodmode watched the Pete's Dragon flick from 1977 last night and we somehow managed to find the uncut version (HUZZAH.) So we got to watch the whole thing without the weird more recent edits that take a lot of the story out. But I literally just realized that of my DB characters might as well be a HUGE super callout to that flick. (I mean we already have a fishing village whose name is slightly ripped off from Passamaquady. But uh...In the movie we have Nora. Saft's mother is called "Sora" which is a random name I nabbed because it meant Sky and I liked it. Now I notice that it actually rhymes with the name "Nora" and if that's not a definite call-out to one of my favorite pieces of dragon related media IDK what is.
been sitting trying to think of something good for ages but my brain is blank, so all i can offer u right now is: saft in dragon form, carrying her sleeping boyfriend around in a sleeping bag, in her mouth, like a kitten. i cannot come up with context because corv is usually an early riser. maybe they were on the run from something and she thought she heard something and decided to relocate them without disturbing him idk. he wakes up curled up in the bottom of the sleeping bag like Wh.
GOD. But like this is the kind of thing I've been picturing after they finally reunite and they realize they're gonna have to go on the run together before hooking up with the rest of the gang (Let's face it at this point they don't really have a plan other than keep each other safe and try and find out wtf Geel's up to.). They're both having to take turns sleeping and keeping an eye out for Turo's agents or whoever else decides to randomly have some kind of beef with the two of them Saft absolutely would have to do this with Corvidan if she thought he's in harms way and doesn't want to disturb him because she knows he's probably been more keen than ever to make sure he never loses her out of his sight again so for the majority of the time he's been taking watch whilst she sleeps. (I also kinda headcanon that once Lavender joins the party she'll be helping out with making sure everyone can get enough sleep.)
