Last Friday marked 50 years since the New York Knicks won their first NBA Finals.
“Game 7” are the best two words in sports, and for Knicks fans, seeing their heroes play Wilt Chamberlain and the Lakers in Madison Square Garden took the Mecca to new pro heights. It also is an underrated addition to the East Coast/West Coast rivalry.
The Knicks and Lakers rosters featured the Logo, a Hall of Fame coach, the Stilt, a Senator, and a butcher (DeBusschere lol).
Willis Reed came back from injury to play a career game in the series clincher.
