Architecturally speaking, when you remove all datums,

does fear or wonder permeate?  If you wake up

somewhere new, with no reference to hold onto, that

initial sense and judgement you make of a space is

fresh and uninformed.  Over time compounded lessons

inform the space(or our interpretations) and create datums, both physical and

historical.  The initial interpretation may not be

the truest interpretation of that space, but is it
