I may have been binge-reading a Fic about Data-Sora (now named Felix) becoming a real boy a-la Pinocchio and forcibly befriending Vanitas in the events of KHIII.
Fic is by @undisciplinedgummiblock and is called Incompatible drivers
- I really tried to give Vanitas yellow/gold eyes, but I've drawn him for so long with red, it looked alien and weird. So he's going to have red here- sorry!
I drew a few scenes, and a meme that sums up the situation between the two of them pretty well imo.

Hurt is darkness. Darkness is always depicted as being negative emotions like hatred, rage, and jealousy, and all of those emotions ultimately stem from hurt. I don't think it's a coincidence that Re:coded, the game that puts so much emphasis on living with your hurt and taking ownership rather than pushing it down, also features Sora's Heartless as a climactic boss, having grown stronger with every Heartless Data-Sora slew.
That pretty much creates this idea that, the more Sora fights and picks up hurt, the stronger his darkness grows, and Anti-Form and Rage Form are pretty clear indicators of that. I think KH4 is going to have an arc of Sora taking ownership of the darkness within him, like Riku did in COM.

The famous (to me at least) 'Fruit Slime' scene that lives rent free in my head
In which Vanitas' apprentice asks him what one of the various Foods of Uncertain Variety that they serve at the Org is, and his answer is simply 'fruit slime', no elaboration
(btw, I recommend that you read the fic in order! it is part of a series, with the first part being 13 GOTO 7. Although it's still an excellent read read out of order (I did that accidentally! whoops), the first part explains a lot of things you might otherwise be confused about!)
I am still not sure what the fruit slime even WAS, as both Vanitas and Felix are unreliable narrators who often lack the experience needed to properly identify many mundane objects... It could be a jam, or a jelly, or even a puree, or it could what I drew here which is basically one of these, but like more in the style of a cheapo one you get at the store with all the fruit settled at the bottom.
