I can’t remember what it’s called but there is a book about a rich girl who wants to dance but her dad doesnt let her do anything because her brother died when she was young and two poor siblings, one who is able to make puppets dance and one who uh i cant remember what she did but she wanted a legacy from a rich person so she and her brother could survive off of the inheritance. anyway they two siblings go to steal this old lady’s cursed opal and somehow the rich girl gets turned into a ballerina marionette and she gets turned back to a human but also she thinks she killed her brother because he ate the watercress sandwiches she ate and they had food poisoning. i think it was a good book but i have a personal vendetta against it because i read it when i was like 8 because it was in the kid’s section and it gave me nightmares
