When you can't trust ur own reading of a situation and assume u must be overreacting, it's next to impossible trust urself. It's difficult to make decisions or set boundaries bc you don't know if what is happening is ok or if you're being sensitive or overreacting. You had ask someone else's opinion to fact check yours.
The message you should know is ur sense of perception is not faulty, u have taught not to believe it. If it feels bad, it feels that way for a reason! Ur feelings have validity, you can trust them. If someone hurts your feelings, or disappoints you, you are allowed to feel any way you like. How would it feel to trust ur own reading? Sure, occasionally everyone gets it wrong, but this is how we learn to place that agency back within us. Listen to YOURSELF first."
