The big problem with how Kido is shown in Bleach, is that many of these abilities are inherently tied to one Shinigami as if no one else could learn how to do it...
Like... Yeah, I get it. Some of them are really, really hard!
But even if we always think of Aizen when talking about Hadō 90, Kurohitsugi. But in all honesty, other Shinigami can learn this!
We know that over certain numbers, it takes more Shinigami to do so.
But we also know Shinigami can and will grow in power by constant training.
We see Byakuya using Byakurai (4) and Sokatsui (33) often because it's the ones who play better into his fighting style. We also see him pulling a Bakudo 82, Danku that actually can shield him from ANY Kido up to 89!
(Would have been nice to use against Äs Nödt, I'm just saying...)
And every single Shinigami can learn Kido...
Every single one of them!
But Kubo was only interested in "Ichigo waves blade. Boom!"
Because if he truly was constructing a Growth story, Ichigo would have been taught Kido as well, since it would have been fucking useful along his fights...
Ichigo has the power to fucking learn Kurohitsugi and other Kido over 90!
But Kubo never expands on these more interesting parts of Shinigami abilities.
And I think honestly the story suffers for it.
