Meet @deesgonnloseit I’m Dee, and I’ve lost 125 pounds. Sept 2018 I decided I was fed up living life as a spectator. I’ve always been very social, but realized my quality of life had greatly declined over the last 6 years. So I decided to get serious about my health. A few months in, I lost 36lbs by changing how I ate. While that was exciting, I ended up having medical issues which put me in chronic severe pain. I was in & out of the ER, Dr’s, & regular chiropractic care. My pain was so bad that I was basically becoming bed bound. At 42 years old, & a single mom, I refused to let this be my future. So I made a choice to start walking every other day, only able to do 7 minutes at first. Long story short, I’ve lost 108lbs, working out 5-6 days a week, & am no longer in chronic pain. I not only walk, but I can jog a 5k, swim over 2000 meters, dance, lift weights, etc. I still have a long way to go, but I will continue to fight for a better future for myself so I can be the best mom I can be to my daughter. Losing weight is hard, but which hard do you want? The hard that comes with being unhealthy, or the hard that comes with getting healthy? Starting tip: make small changes & achievable goals. Add to them as you go & you’ll see those small changes lead to big results. Also, have people who are supportive of your journey (one of the reasons why I just love the @wlstories community). Last, don’t ever give up. You are never to far gone, & you are worth fighting for! ________________ How has the Wlstories community influenced your journey?
