1) There’s something really strange in Death being your best, oldest and closest friend... but the drama of it is heavily overshadowed by the form death takes, in this case, so Jim’s not so worried about it.

2) Except for the existential freakouts that he gets sometimes when he’s awake late at night because death is his best, oldest, closest friend and sometimes the other meaning suddenly has weight.

3) He’s waiting for the psychic backlash to hit Bones in the face after death miraculously didn’t take him post-irradiation. He’s pretty leery about the ‘magic augment blood,’ since no augmentation of nature is going to return a collapsed, torn apart, disintegrated cell to its previous state.

4) He really really wants to know what it’s like to be in one place and everywhere, all at once. Is it even translatable in the human experience?
