like i know it's been literally years and all but like........... i really feel like all those people snooping in on Undertale's lore probably should've sucked harder at playing the game because I've never seen anyone mention that if you die to Asgore you start trying to reason with him in the battle dialogue.

You tell ASGORE that he's killed you (1-4 times) before. He nods sadly.

You tell ASGORE that he's killed you (5-9) times. He nods grievously.

You tell ASGORE that he's killed you too many times to count. He nods pitifully.

Asgore remembers.

Does he remember though? Or does he just know about the anomaly because Sans told him.

He may have been told about the anomaly, but what he knows is that he has been killing a child, not just in the future, but in the past, forever, and the child must either give up or somehow kill him instead to escape.

The anomaly is beyond an abstract, here (and i don't think it was Frisk they detected, anyway)

this is a bit of a re-design since I was no longer really into the mollusk shell bonnet, but didn't want to discard the shell concept entirely especially with gastropod gaster. this was a mistake, as I spent 60% of the drawing time on the damn shell.
