“but if i dare say,” she chances a pause, eyes rising to meet the gentle gaze of another’s. “you would never be truly lonely, for the flowers are here too to hear our thoughts.” a smile parts once more, “and if we’re not too careful, they may run away with them.”
“even if that may be- you certainly are deserving are such words and thoughts.” seora regards the female with such care, as if she were dealing with a newborn. her slender fingers wrap around the younger female’s gently, encasing them in hopes of keep her warm in the harsh winter air. and keeping her safe.
a soft song of laughter fills the air between the two of them, the images of the flowers running away appearing vividly in her mind. it’s almost as if she can see it, her gazes turning to the foliage that rests before them. the frigid air as no effects on the royal garden, the bloomed flowers swaying softly in the cold breeze. it’s as if they’re dancing, a reminder that they are in fact always there. and always listening.
her attention is back on her companion, gazing at her with warmth and joy. “then perhaps we should listen to what the flowers have to say. give them a friend and they shall stay.”
the sound of cheering from the main hall travels into the garden, reminding seora of the main reason she had left the festivities in the first place. “i was being truthful, the celebration is not the same without you.” the words spoken are soft, laced with sincerity. perhaps it was the fact that ruihan had so easily grasped seora’s heart, filling the older female with wonder as she watched the female blossom into a beautiful young lady.
the few months of their friendship felt like years to seora, as if she had watched the girl grow from birth. she was an enchanting and charming young lady, sometimes filled with such wonder and curiosity, it left seora speechless.
however, seora knew that celebrations, especially royal ones, could be extremely taxing on the mind and body. and so she makes an offer that she would be glad to fulfill: “although, we don’t need to return. i doubt they’ll even notice we’ve left.”
