Now that we finished the Poly Ship Battle, it's time to move onto a new set of polls. A best rarepair ship poll. What do you feel is the best Teen Wolf rarepair ship ever? So, a few things first:

I believe I got a very good majority of rarepair ships there are in the fandom. I was able to get 128 rarepair ships from lists online and friends letting me know what other rarpair ships there are out there and of course, you guys on here telling me your rarepair ships. Still, I might have missed a rarepair ship here and there that you ship or feel should have been in the competition, and I apologize if your own favorite rarepair ship did not make it onto the list, but 128 is a good amount, and in will divide equally by 2 the whole competition.

The criteria for a ship to have counted as a rarepair for this poll is obviously they aren't that popular of a pairing in fandom (so they could have been canon/almost canon and such) AND they had to HAVE LESS THAN 1,000 FICS ON AO3. So I got a few suggestions here or there that actually had above 1K fics on AO3 and so they didn't make it into this competition. So if it's a more well known pairing, like Petopher or Stackson, etc, they didn't make it. If feel your ship counts as a rarepair, check it's AO3 fic count (signed into AO3, mind you) and then you'll know why it's not in this competition.

Also, YES, incest pairings were allowed in this competition. If you have a problem with that, well...look down three bullet points. No hate means NO HATE. Anyone showing disgust or hatred toward incest pairings will be reprimanded and possibly blocked like usual. This is FICTION, so please remember that, have fun, and just vote against what you don't like and leave it at that!

And remember, this is a rarpair SHIP poll, so even if you prefer them platonically or hate the pairing, do NOT vote for a rarepair ship based on how you feel about it platonically or not, vote on if they HAVE THE BEST ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP, not if you love them together platonically. So think ROMANTICALLY, and no other way when voting.

The matching up for this was basically entirely random, so a match up might be kinda 'meh' for the first few rounds for a few of them.

WARNING: Obviously, NO SHIP HATE IN THESE POLES. Keep it civil! You can disagree with the winners if you're bummed yours didn't get through to the next round/didn't win, of course, but don't go hating/fighting with others over the rarepair ship that wins a round. That will not be tolerated and if I see that I will either delete the comment if I can/give a warning/block the user/or if it's too many people going too far I will shut this WHOLE thing down. This is meant to be fun and not serious. Remember that, please. Also it may seem silly to say this over a rarepair ship poll but a bit of this happened in the regular ship poll, so you NEVER know and I'm being cautious here.

Also, given what happened in the shipper polls, this has to be warned for just incase: If there is ANY significant spike in the votes in a very short period of time - like say jumping 10% points or something in like an hour of time or something - outside of the initial votes being given at first, of course - I will assume botting has taken place. If someone is making more than 1 account on tumblr to vote, i.e. fake accounts, that is also cheating and THAT RAREPAIR SHIP WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED. Again, with what happened with the ship battle, this needs to be said. NO making multiple accounts or there will be consequences.

Because this is a rarepair ships battle, there will be two ships per poll. So you're about to see quite a bit of of poll posts from me…just a warning if you're wondering why there's going to be continued ship poll posts from me 😭

Here are the brackets - ignore the numbers on them, the site I used just did that🤷‍♀️ (and you'll have a pretty good idea who the winners will be up against next round as well). I will start posting the polls momentarily (but might not get all of them up right away, that might be staggered.)

The wind had picked up again, flakes of snow whipping against Derek's cheek as he glanced behind him. Allison was struggling through the drifts, barely keeping her knees above the bank; the two had been separated from the rest of the Pack half an hour ago. Even with Derek's sense of smell and Allison's tracking ability, there was no way they'd find them in this din.

Not when they were being chased.

"The cold will kill us before they can if we don’t find shelter." Derek shouted as a strong gust ripped through him again - for once, he shivered.

The huntress agreed and moved closer toward him, though he could see her eyes watched him closer than before. He had promised Scott nothing would happen to her, but Allison hadn't. If she wanted to gut him open and use his corpse as a sleeping bag, she could.

But Derek knew she wouldn't.

They managed to find a little cave on the side of the mountain, barely big enough for Derek to even sit in let alone the two of them - but they needed to ride out the storm.

Allison was reluctant at first, but crawled into Derek's lap without much hesitation. He could tell she was shivering under the tight ski jacket so Derek wrapped himself tight against her. Body heat would keep them both warm, after all.

She smelled nice; coconut and jasmine from her shampoo, cinnamon and espresso from the latte she had at the lodge before they all went on the afternoon hike, pine from the tree she had crashed through when she fell down the mountain.

"You didn't have to come after me." Allison's voice was soft, barely heard over the wind on the cave mouth. "You should have stayed with the group."

Derek grunted a response, knowing he didn't have to, but he felt he needed to. She could handle herself in the wilderness, sure, but alone she would have died. He'd made a promise to Scott to keep her safe right? That was why he jumped down.

Her cold fingers found the warmth of his neck, her breath ghosting over his skin in a way he hadn't felt in a long, long time. Something stirred inside him, but he shoved it down deeper as he reminded himself this was only to keep his promise.

Allison gasps, waking up from the night that she should have died but didn't yet again. She holds her head in hands, trying to calm her breathing and her heartrate, but she just can't seem to settle. She jolts again at the arm that wraps around her, that turns her into a warm, broad chest. But she knows that embrace, and she knows the hands that tilt her chin up until warm lips can be pressed against her own. She relaxes minutely into Derek's kiss and Derek's arms until she feels like she can breathe again. "Better?" He asks, concern clear in his hazel eyes. "A good distraction," she confirms, and kisses him again.

She had to fight how good it felt to press her lips against Lydia's after all this time, all this build-up, all the waiting. She gently urged the redhead back towards the wall and followed, caging her in with one arm and cupping the back of her neck with the other. Allison almost felt bad for Lydia as she slipped the needle out of her pocket with all the movement, and it slid into her neck like butter. There was nothing but shock and betrayal in her gaze, but Allison knew she had felt something more, too. Nothing was more important than the mission, though. Her mother's death had taught her that, so she wasn't going to question grandpa's orders. Not until her death was made right.
