Oh my! This question came out of nowhere! I wonder what prompted it! ;DD

But DaemoniK is actually going to be an upcoming psuedo-visual novel/audio drama project that I’m going to be working on, inspired by an old story that I had in the works during my high school years (like, ten years ago? Damn, am I old).

It follows main character, Finnian Sweeney, as she becomes contract bound by the demon, Leviathan, after they attempted to save her life when being attacked by another demon. It’s a fantasy/horror adventure set in the town of Havenwood, which is under the command of the city council (which you find out are actually archangels). The overall premise explores the common theme of angels versus demons. But the twist: the angels are considered the bad guys throughout this tale!

It kind of gives off a vibe of if Persona avatars met a mix of Bayonetta and DMC. Just the protagonist is alot less badass.

Alot of the themes in the story is focused on the idea of trust and dependency, and how people grow attached to things that they deem safe and normal. It also explores the idea of free-will and subservience to those who don’t allow you to question the world around you. Which is kind of a cool deep thing touched in on throughout the story as you learn the back-stories of the characters.

It’s got a very big cast, with angelic antagonists, demonic allies, and many more! But the main focuses of the story are:

- Finnian Sweeney, who’s an avid gamer who still has a hard time wrapping her head around this entire war going on. Most of the story is seen from her perspective.

- Leviathan, the demon prince of envy and Fin’s ‘Praetora’ – or contracted demon. Gender-fluid and regal as hell, they eventually grow a friendship and bond with Fin as the story progresses.

- Thomas Wallace, who is a friend turned rival throughout the story events. He harbors a resentment towards Fin after his previous Praetora, Leviathan, made a contract with her instead. He eventually becomes the Redemptor (contractor) of the demon of wrath, Satan.

- Kain, a mysterious boy from the streets who first appears as a foe towards Fin. He and Fin eventually grow closer as Kain realizes he doesn’t have to live a life of survival on his own. He’s the Redemptor of the demon of lust, Asmodeus.

There's been a string of mysterious attacks and murders throughout the small town of Havenwood, but it never seemed to be anything that Finnian ever paid much mind to. But she finds herself affected by these attacks when her best friend, Thomas, becomes a victim of the attacks. Although he's recovering, there's more to the attacks than Fin realizes. For one day, as she returns home from visiting Thomas, she too becomes victim to an attack. Only to find rescue in a mysterious man who claims he's the great demon Leviathan.

Will Fin be able to get to the bottom of this mystery? Or will she find herself dragged deeper into the darker world that hides within the shadows of Havenwood?
