Matsu and his female s/o have officially broken up. S/o has moved far away and they haven't seen each other in years. Matsu hears someone at the door, answers it, and sees a kid. The kid says "hello, (blank)Matsu. My name is (blank). You don't know me but I'm (female s/o name) and your son/daughter." How does each Matsu bro react?
He raised an eyebrow and laughed to himself.
âYeah kid and Iâm made of money.â
The childâs eyes widened and a smile crossed their lips. âAreyou?â Â
âNo.â He curtly responded.
The child fell silent âOh.â
âLook kid, if youâre trying to make a few quick bucks Iapplaud you for doing so but come on. You gotta be a bit smarter about who youscam.â
âIâm not trying to scam you.â They retorted.
A loud laugh erupts from Osomatsuâs mouth.
âYou show up saying youâre my kid with an ex I had yearsago. Come on. Itâs a classic movie clichĂ©.â
âBut they say youâre my dad!â The child cried.
Osomatsu took a moment to catch his breath and wiped a tearfrom his face.
âTell you what kid. Iâll cut you a deal. Bring your parenthere and if itâs my ex Iâll believe you.â
Osomatsu placed his hand on the kidâs head. Â âUp up up. Hold on, squirt I wasnât finishedtalking.â
The child looked up at Osomatsu. Osomatsu took this chanceto see if the kid looked anything like him. He didnât really see the resemblanceto him, but the kid does have his exâs eyes.
He felt a hand on his and he jolted, looking down at the kid.The child asked if he was all right and he nodded. He took a deep breath beforefinishing his thought.
âIf youâre lying, your parentâs gonna have to give me atleast $200 for babysitting you.â
He stared at the kid on his doorstep. Itâs been so longsince heâs heard the name of his former lover. Heâd be lying if hearing theirname again didnât pull at his heart.
The child looked up at Karamatsu, wondering if they shoulddo something. Before they could speak up, Karamatsu invited the child into thehouse.
After offering the child food and a drink, Karamatsu led thechild up to the roof.
âMy parent mentioned this was your favorite place.â Theymuttered and Karamatsu turned to face the child. Â
âWhat else did they say about me?â Karamatsu asked as hefailed to mask his interest in the answer.
âThat youâre incredibly niceâŠa little too nice sometimes.â Thechild responded.
They sat in silence for a few minutes. Karamatsu was tryingto process all of this information but there was one question on his mind.
âIs it possible for me to see your other parent?â
ââŠThey donât know Iâm here.â They meekly answered.
Karamatsuâs eyes widened in horror. Before he could speak, the child cut him off.
âYou can take me back to them, you know.â
Karamatsu stared at the child and shook his head.
âAll right. Letâs go find your parent.â
Choromatsu rubbed the back of his head and let out a sigh.
âListen, kid. Youâve got the wrong guy.â
âI donât! My parent said that youâre my dad!â They shouted.
Choromatsu stared at the kid, rather shocked at their outburst.
Maybe this kid was telling the truth? Nah. His ex wouldnâtkeep a kid if it were his. Would they? Nah. Whoâd want a kid with a good fornothing NEET? This is obviously a scam.
He shook his head andtook a deep breath before responding.
âLook kid, Iâm not going to believe you without your parenthere AND a dna test.â
âSo if I bring my parent here and we go get a test, youâll believeme?â
âIF it comes out to be positive.â
The kidâs eyes burned with determination. âIâll be back!â
Ichimatsu did what any young adult would do when faced with thethreat of responsibility.
He slammed the door shut and ran up to his room to pet a catand hope that the child would go away.
Unfortunately, responsibilities force their ugly heads intooneâs life.
Matsuyo slammed the door to his room open and told him to gotalk to the child. Ichimatsu let out a low groan, grabbed the cat he waspetting and went downstairs to find the child munching on a snack Matsuyoprepared for them. Might as well get it over with.
Ichimatsu stopped in his tracks and lifted the cat.
The child shook their head no and Ichimatsu sat down next tothem whilst petting the cat.
âSorry about slamming the door on you.â He muttered.
âMy parent told me youâre bad with surprises.â
âWhat else did they tell you?â
âWell there isnât much to say about me.â
They sat in silence for a few minutes. The child finishedtheir snack and the cat Ichimatsu was petting sauntered over to the childâslap.
âYou knowâŠâ Ichimatsu began and the child looked up at him. âYourparent and I went our separate ways. Whyâd you come?â
âI wanted to meet you.â
âWhy? Iâm not the best person out there.â He muttered
âBecause youâre my dad.â
Ichimatsu stared at the child in shock. Was this kid forreal?
âI really want you to come with me.â
âCome with youâŠwhere?â He asked, fearful of the answer.
âTo see my other parent.â
âWhat if something happens to me? Itâs late and I donât knowmy way around.â
Ichimatsu looked out the window and he realized the kid hada point. Â He muttered under his breathand reluctantly got up.
âAll right. Iâll take you to them, but Iâm not talking tothem.â
He looked down at the child at his door step. Â
âSo your parent is (ex)?â He cautiously asked
ââŠand they say that Iâm your dad?â
Jyushimatsu brought his hand to his chin and stared at thekid for a bit. The child does know the name of his ex and it also appears to bethe appropriate age for their story to make sense. However, Jyushimatsu wasstill not entirely convinced that this child was actually his. He decided to goafter the source of this information.
âCan I talk to them?â
He stared the child in front of him.
âNope. I donât see it. Youâre not my kid.â
âI am!â The child pouted.
âYou donât look like me.â
âThatâs good. Iâm cuter than you.â
Todomatsu was taken back by the childâs remark. How rude! Hewouldnât be the father to a kid with this much sass.
âListen, kid I canât be your dad. I havenât seen your parentin years.â He replied trying to discourage the kid. However, this kid was persistent.
âWhat if I took you to talk to them?â They offered andTodomatsu scoffed.
âWhy? Theyâre probably trying to scam me out of money. MoneyI donât have by the way.â
âDoubt it. My parent says youâre a NEET.â The child responded.
Todomatsu stared at the floor for a few moments beforeresponding.
ââŠokay. Letâs go talk to your parent.â
âYouâre really coming with me?â The child asked rathershocked at how easy it was to convince Todomatsu to go with them.
âYouâre not after moneyâŠIâm starting to think youâre tellingthe truth but I need to see your parent with my own eyes to confirm it.â Hemuttered.
