why were sean and jay banned from degrassi?
Jay was expelled in s4 after Spinner came clean to Hatzilakos about their involvement in the whole Rick thing (which got Jimmy paralyzed, Rick humiliated and killed and Sean, Emma and Toby PTSD - not to mention Toby lost his friend)
Sean left Degrassi voluntarily in season 4 (Back in Black) to be with his parents in Wasaga so he never finished grade 10. In season 6 he came back to Toronto to get his diploma (so he could get a bank loan and open an auto shop) and therefore rejoined (although Degrassi implied that the school just let him take classes with the grade 11s even though by rights he should have been back in grade 10 again) but he got expelled because in jealousy Peter planted weed in his locker and gave an anonymous tip about it to his mom the principal and Sean got expelled.
Even though it was proven that he didn’t do it - cus peter left a mask in Emma’s locker for the masquerade ball and many questioned how he got in and from there Emma realised that Peter had access to Sean’s locker - Sean never went back to Degrassi, it could be cus he was already in jail once Emma found out and once he got out he got a job even though snake offered to get him back into Degrassi.
So yeah technically Sean probably wouldn’t be banned. Jay mentioned to Manny in s7 that he was parked so far away from the school because he was still technically banned (which is why she had to sneak him into the dance with a fake moustache in sweet child o mine). But really and truly it’s been so many years and there have been so many principals since Hatzilakos they’d probably be allowed in. At the very least Sean because Simpson’s the Principal and Sean’s basically his son so.
