in honor of the prologue being done, here's a little snippet from my cyberpunk au where james has amnesia and is a cyborg
Instead of the sunlight from the memory, Regulus is bathed in the light of the moon. He is pale, and he is tearstained, and he is every bit as beautiful as he was before. James can see the age on him now, how five years and an immeasurable amount of grief has given him faint frown lines and tired eyes. He is still young and he looks it, but he’s not the same. James doesn’t know whether to be crushed or comforted that they’ve both been changed in some form.
