#cyberpets

Oh maaaaaan, I almost forgot I even made that post! :P

But yea...I remember when cyberpets were a Thing. Like, a Big Thing. Sooooo many people’s webpages had little sections for their collections of adopted, named, backstory’d pixel art. So many people made these elaborate fantasy worlds to give their cyberpet species context. I had so many cyberpet .gif’s saved on my old windows xp’s hard drive...wish I still had ‘em. I don’t even remember most of the websites’ names, now. But I remembered Animal Palace, Skyhaven, Dreamfollow Adoptions, and a few others.

But now it’s like...nobody even remembers cyber pets existed. Even a google search for “cyberpet“ doesn’t bring up anything about actual cyberpets.

Weirdly, a few old cyber pet sites still, like, actually EXIST. Like Angel’s Chimera Dreams: http://www.angelfire.com/amiga/merbabe/index2.html. Or The Silver Unicorn: http://silvanon.com/. Who knows how they’re still on the net, or when they were last updated.
