On the day of Lidong (立冬 lit. beginning of winter), the sky was high and the clouds were thick, yet the desolate scene of cold winds and falling leaves remained hidden in Xiang. Together with Cheng Yi, we arrived in Pingjiang, where the earth, streams, mountains, and the sun, moon, and stars brought him closer to nature. Over the long years, he had left his hometown early.
