The skepticism in the androids eyes only heightened the disheveled appearance his soaked form gave off. His usually neat, perfectly styled hair had become tussled with the excess of water, causing it to curl ever so slightly. His clothing was wet, material darkened slightly with moisture, and upon his visage there lay a dejected frown which only added to the whole picture. Quite the sad looking thing he appeared, the miserably soaked android. Even so, he made no immediate moves to enter the vehicle. He simply stood and watched.
Even when Reed shoved the door open once again with a passively aggressive command Connor stood hesitant. He was tempted to tell the human that he was perfectly suited to walk the distance, that the cold downpour didn’t bother androids as it did other sentient beings. However, it was the man’s insistence that did bring him to consider accepting. It was not the catalyst to finally gaining the android’s acquiesce. No, rather Connor factored in the time wasted with his defiance, time which could be spent being productive. Even with the possibility of a little hazing from the self-proclaimed office prick, Connor could not deny that declining Reed’s offer was the worser of two outcomes.
So it was with a soft sigh he slowly climbed into the car and eased himself into the passenger seat with care. The detective may have offered him a ride, but Connor doubted he would be too keen on having his upholstery water damaged.
