The master
Just wanted to let you know that your Pokemon Colosseum stuff has been a treat and a half, very few people really give it the shake it deserves and even less actually go over its story like you have. Which is a shame, a feel like a LOT of the "power of friendship" stuff that Pokemon likes to make central to the story works best in a place like Orre, where the seeming main philosophy was "milk as much power from a pokemon as you can"
Not that everyone in Orre is like that- but I feel like the fact that the lack of natural pokemon (Orre is a ecological disaster) combined with the colosseum and MT battle sorta leans into the idea that only elite trainers are going to Orre to get stronger? the kind that would thrive under the ideals of Cipher and Shadow Pokemon, or at least would buy into that mind set.
I mighta started rambling, but I had a lot to say about Orre and the colosseum games I guess. Anyway, loved your work, see ya!
i wrote more abt it in my Marxist-esque analysis of the cxd games, but i think you’re right. since there’s no wild pokemon, i imagine broke elite trainers just end up in orre. what’re people with low prospects aside from battling gonna do in a barren wasteland? well cipher’s gonna give you a salary, so that and the focus of power didn’t make it hard for them to conquer orre. and no worries abt the rambling lol i love reading in general
cxd are probably my fav games just cause i like double battles and the focus on story. also wes and michael are cool

Dae usually doesn't say or do anything when someone's bothering them ONLY bc he knows when Carmen can handle the situation on her own. She doesn't like feeling reliant on anyone n he doesn't want to accidentally demean her in a situation she can handle
