Let's make a #DMC4 #Dante wig!#customtips 1)You guys have seen my #custom #headsculpt by now :) but I gotta cut and style the hair like it looks in game 2)DONE! 3)of course not 🤣 4)I actually did this in a little over 2 hours, but after 4 studies (failed attempts) to learn the "formula" I feel confident I could cut a real person's hair just like #DevilMayCry Dante's 5)... 6)I put them in plastic wraps for the hair wax to dry and "learn" the SSStyling. #wip pics before sculpting might not be so exciting, but I find engineering also of great importance in making a figure! I'll try to do a little #customtips #tutorial #stepbystep of what I did :) 1)First lemme show off one leg that I "undressed" that's traditional substractive sculpture, I'm proud :p 2)I hate painting over joints and always worry if they'll scrape off and show that blue in the middle of her beautiful leg skin (in a point that already brings attention for the joint seam) Working with #onesixthscale is wonderful cause bodies are all modular for easy replacing parts. So I adapted a wrist joint for her #one12 knee - still needs finer work, and I changed that joint already, but I can show you guys later. 3) it even added a little bit more range :D 4)and here on a little thing I do when sanding rubbery plastic that I find useful 5) seal the plastic with a bit of super glue - be careful, you don't wanna drench it and glue everything (and have I mentioned if you can take the figure apart, it helps working a lot? ;) and @necaofficial are great for that :D) 6) wipe the glue with a plastic bag, something that won't stick to the glue, you wanna seal the plastic 7)8) it's easier to sand it now, and you can keep repeating glue + sanding paper without dusting and the leftover can fill in creases and holes that would be difficult to take away :D 9) as I finish writing this I realize I didn't take pics of how I added an ankle joint to add some hip movement XD Maybe as important for good likeness as a good sculpt, making a figure pose like a character can add that breath of life to your #custom :) Hope you guys found it helpful, see ya next time.
