Custom Island Herringbone Face We created this custom herringbone island face with reclaimed cedar paneling from one of rooms in the house. This was our 1st experience creating a herringbone pattern. The pattern turned out well. We chose an semi-opaque gray stain that would allow some of the wood grain to peek through giving it the appearance of weathered cedar.
