It’s that time a year again, and around my parts, leaves are mostly gone from the trees and now reside in my yard, and for some in their gutters, so it’s GUTTER CHECK time. When we remodeled our current house a few years ago, we bit the bullet and installed a gutter guard system. I don’t remember which brand we decided on, but I can certainly to you it was will worth the money. Custom Island Herringbone Face We created this custom herringbone island face with reclaimed cedar paneling from one of rooms in the house. This was our 1st experience creating a herringbone pattern. The pattern turned out well. We chose an semi-opaque gray stain that would allow some of the wood grain to peek through giving it the appearance of weathered cedar. Retaining Wall Rebuild When we bought this property on short sale, the retaining walls were collapsing, having been built with of untreated lodge poles. This problem was patched by the original home owner and unfortunately wasn’t revealed to our client when they purchased it. We didn’t discover the problem until it came time to replace the window.
