If it's Metal Sonic's beauty routine does that mean he does all that himself and because he wants to or does eggman do it?

Anyway, back to the soul thing. how canon can we take the sonic Twitter to be? I guess it's irrefutable proof that metal is still considered as powered by life energy by people working for Sega.

One of the reasons I hate all the “how could anyone believe Lila” stuff is because I WAS LILA. I hated myself so much, and I would lie to people I wanted to like me to get them to find me interesting because I didn’t think I was. I’ve told worse lies than what Lila said and people still trusted me; I never bullied anyone or threatened anyone because of it, but you would be surprised to see what people will believe. I’ll give you an example of a REAL story that some people still believe.

Me: *To my drama teacher* Oh yeah, I competed nationally at musical theatre and placed highly and did a performance in front of hundreds of people. (Note: Mostly fake. I did do singing competitions, but they were all local and I never placed).

Drama Teacher: Oh wow that’s really cool, maybe you could do it in front of the class one day.

Me: At some point maybe, I’d love to!!

(Day Rolls around)

DT: Blue would you like to maybe sing for the class today? I think they’d love to hear you considering you placed nationally and all.

Rest of class: Oh wow, please do!

Me: (Lying) I’m so sorry DT, I can’t sing today as my voice teacher asked me to save my voice for a competition I have this weekend.

(Later)

Popular Senior: WOW you must be so talented to have placed that highly.

Me: I guess you could say that, I’ve just been practicing for a while that’s all.

Him: I wish I could hear you sing sometime.

Me: (Lying) Actually, one of the national competitions I placed at had me do a recording that they went and put on Spotify.

Him: Oh my god, that’s so cool, could you please play it for me

Me: Of course! *Plays “all grown up” from Bare recorded in 2008* (Note: I was 6 in 2008)

Him: You should so try out for the musical, this is so incredible, I can’t believe this is you! (It wasn’t)

Me: oh yeah, I’m actually the debate captain (Note: This is actually true: I had been in that club for years and actually did that competitively and placed well, never at national tournaments though, still working on that!) so I don’t have time anymore. I did audition for the play a few times and never got a callback.

He then, being a popular senior and often casted in the show, begins to argue with the drama teacher on my behalf because I was “The best singer in the school” despite the fact that he had never heard me actually sing.

People tend to be trusting, especially with people they believe to mean well and when the lies are harmless. If I were to full on accuse someone of cheating, they would check it I agree, but if there was evidence and they think I mean well, no one would second guess it. Common sense is not as common as you think it is. At this point, everyone trusts Lila and they don’t believe that she would ever mean harm to anyone, so what they are doing matches with what I have seen in the past. The reason that you guys think it is is because you have confirmation bias, you know that they’re lies and so your brain will connect the dots that prove your confirmed belief, but if we take that away and put you in one of the classmates postition’s, you might just believe Lila after all. People who are way smarter than I ever will be beloved that crazy lie that I told, and still do to this day. While it is a kids show so it’s a little over exaggerated, there are some things you’d believe that, in hindsight, you would see not to be true.

I very personally hated how the show treated Lila, I was like her because I wanted to make friends, but I would never have tried to hurt anyone like she had with Marinette. If someone exposed me like the way that ladybug did to her with Adrien, I would certainly have a problem with them and not immediately forgive them after they had hurt me badly on lies that were in no way harmful to them. I don’t really understand why people had expected her to forgive ladybug, it was messed up what she did and Lila had a right to be angry toward her after that point, but I would never work with someone to attempt to bring them down through any means possible.

TL;DR: Common sense is not as common as you think. People believe more than you think that you would, and you probably have to. I was like Lila and I hate the way the show treats her because a liar doesn’t necessarily mean a person that is cruel at heart.
