the portent resurrection is perfect.
every ounce of this is so narratively satisfying. this is the story that hooked me in so deeply - choices, decisions that led up to this moment so perfect it seems pre-ordained.
and yeah, maybe some people think it was scripted, but I don’t care because it’s gorgeous.
brennan is so good at tying the different narrative elements of characters together, too. azune’s ’remember,’ the sound of music referencing hal, the grid of magic murray sees. the shadows growing, the nightingale song. GORGEOUS.
not the lloy smith being inspired to make the pariah blades by the thought of ‘why can’t I keep my family safe?’
