Clothing - 

Start out in a white suit of armor

Or, start out in a white and gold scholar uniform with a skirt or long pants

At a certain point, MC will have the opportunity to change out of the starting attire for something else. There'll be a fair amount of variety, ranging from fantasy to modern styles

Halo & Wing - 

Missing their left wing. There isn’t a mark or anything on the left side, either.

Color for both - from list or custom color option

Style for halo - from list or custom style option

It would be cruel of me to force players to have a simple halo style. I myself LOVE unique halo designs such as the one you mentioned

MC will also be able to summon and de-summon their halo and wings for incognito purposes

If you’ve noticed from the banner art, MC and Daemin have branches of wings that branch out from the main limb.

(The Angel in the banner is another MC of mine that I drew for artistic purposes. In the story, MC won’t be locked in to look like the one in the banner) 

At the start of the story, Daemin and MC only have one base wing with no branches. The more essence they have, however, increases the amount of wings branching out from the main limb. So in the banner they both have three wings worth of essence.

Essence

Color - from a list, but will contain the whole color range. Different colors will open up unique dialogue/flavor text.

Red, pink, orange, yellow, and white are common for Holy beings

Grey is common for both Holy and Unholy

Green, blue, purple, brown, and black are rare for Holy beings

Daemin’s essence color is red :)

When an Etherian (Holy and Unholy) uses essence, it looks sort of like this:

The area they are either transferring or concentrating their essence will glow the color that it is. If two individual’s essence colors are different in color, transferring essence will create a cool little mixture of the two colors. :D 

For combat, summoned weapons will be the color of the essence.

Elemental essence manipulation is the same, so liquids, shards, air/mist, and fire will be the same color as the essence.

Transformation utilizes essence, so transformed MCs will have accents, a glow, or a shadowy aura surrounding them. Transformation makes them look more otherworldly.

This is an example of one of my personal views of the MC, whos transformation is humanoid with an ethereal . This is how I visualize accents, too.

(This is just my view of the MC. Players are free to visualize their MC however they wish for transformations)

There are three main types for transformation: 

Humanoid - Purely bipedal, looks the most human-like

Hybrid - Imagine something like a centaur, for example. Humanoid upper-body and an animal lower body.

Beastial - Looks much like an animal. Quadrupedal. 

And the sub-types for these three breaks into two options: enigmatic or eldritch. Enigmatic basically means that the MC has a ethereal, calm-looking appearance. Eldritch is terrifying and aggressive looking. 

How much essence they’ve obtained determines the height difference. One wing and they remain the height they were regularly. For each additional branch of wing, their height increases about a foot or so, when in transformation.

Note: Still conceptualizing and deciding what I want to do for transformations, but I think these are the key factors I’m sticking with for now ^.^

Comprehensible veil and natural appearance - 

The veil and natural appearance looks the same for Etherians. However, mortals are able to see a VERY clear difference.

This is what mortals would see if a Holy or Unholy did not have the veil. The veil Etherians cast upon themselves allows mortals to see an Etherian for how they already view themselves as—humanoid with wings and a halo or horns (if they have those summoned).

So if MC and Daemin hear people screaming bloody murder and running away from them when nothing is happening, they might not have their veil up. They can sense whether or not the veil is on them, but they themselves cannot see it.

I can go more in depth about transformation and these two appearances if needed.

Crych

Trope/themes of their path - Anger born of worry/love

They’d be a computer junkie if they had immediate access to a computer and life’s worries didn’t get in the way. So much information in one place, and such a complex machine!

Didn’t realize this until my friends tried pronouncing their name, but their name is pronounced “crit-ch” and not “cry-ch.”

I’ve mentioned in the tid-bit from this post that they are from a place where individuals choose their names based on sounds they feel most attuned to.

The idea of Crych having eyespots on their ears is something I borrowed from another story I was working on back in 2019, but never finished.

Crych doesn’t have four ears or looks animalistic like this, but the idea of their ears perking up to reveal eyespots is kind of like the top right image. Difference is the eyespots are on the inner fur of their ears instead of on the sides.

Yonas/Yoelle Cava’dren

Trope/themes of their path - Shared suffering, beneath the smile lies something more.

Eve

Trope/themes of their path - They knew you before you knew them, enemies to lovers, little rat of an enemy to ✨ respectable frenemy ✨

They’re not easily willing to say where they’re from.

That one video ‘Halloween Party’ on Youtube featuring Michael Myers describes their mysterious, yet humorous vibe well.

Fenrir Alphenstein

Trope/themes of his path - Friend to lovers, friend to bestfriend, single adoptive father who’s just doing his best. :)

He’s not easily willing to say where he’s from.

He’ll have a more light-hearted, fluffy path compared to everyone else.

Loves to do and try a lot of things! If he had a blog he’d probably show pictures and posts about all of his travels and experiences.

Lunari Pyan

Trope/themes of her path - Friendly rivalry, flirt battle, getting over grudges.

The themes for her and her sister are very telling of their bond and their personalities. I’m not a music expert, but both songs have a repeating ‘bump’ to them, if that makes any sense? Lunari’s theme is here and Ashuri’s theme is here.

Remilia Mhova 

Trope/themes of her path - Defrosting the ice queen, 🎵 anything you can do I can do better 🎵

Her intended vibe is kind of like Spectre from Dungeon Fighter Online.

She’s been trying to learn sign language in her free time.

Spoils Cava’dren. :D The dynamic between those two is like two people going shopping: Cava’dren wants to sit down, rest, and not be there, but Remilia is like “We’re buying you ten different shirts, and I don’t care if you don’t want to watch me look at the same three boots for an hour.”

Sorin Laigar 

Trope/themes of his path - Slow burn, oblivious to love, deep talks

Oldest one in the bunch, being in his 30s

Defining symbols for him are phoenixes and fire. 

Dad jokes even though he isn’t a dad.

All I can say is that I feel so sorry for him 💀 There are other characters I feel sorry for, but man...thinking about what’s to happen pokes at my heart.

Eldris World Map - 

This is the first draft of the world map, I might change some things here and there, but this is the general idea of where everything is.

Daemin

He’d return the gesture by using his own wing to shield them from the elements as well. The sound of his voice would break the comfortable silence between the two. “Is this another mortal practice?” 

“No, just a moral one.” 

 He would hum in response, taking the time to observe the rain beyond the coverage of their elder sibling’s wing. A question surfaces in his mind, and he dares voicing the thought. “MC, is water wet or—” 

 “Daemin, please.”

Crych

Crych’s face would heat up when they realize what the angel was doing with their wing. Peeking at MC through soaked hair, their ears would involuntarily quiver at the sight of them. 

Their eyes bounce elsewhere as they tug on their ears in a helpless attempt to calm down. "I'm used to walking in the rain, so don't worry about me." 

"But I want to worry about you." 

Hearing those words, Crych would clam up. For the rest of the walk, they’d be too embarrassed to say anything more. They’d also be too focused on hiding their flustered face behind those long locks of hair.

Cava'dren

“Now it’s really raining on our little parade.” Cava’dren would hold a hand out, letting the droplets of rain hit the palm of their hand. “I’m not one for ruining a new set of strands, but—” 

Pausing mid-sentence, they’d watch as MC juts out their wing to protect them from the elements. 

Rolling their head to the side, they’d meet MC’s dazzling eyes. Shooting finger guns at the angel, with the bonus of a wink, they speak in a sing-song voice. “I was just about to ask you to do that, feathers!”

“I’m sure you were.” MC playfully rolls their eyes. 

Cava’dren slowly sinks back into a sluggish posture, raising a hand up to their mouth as they yawn. “As much as I appreciate you using your wing as an umbrella, I can’t have my dear guardian angel catching the common cold. Let’s find someplace cozy.”

Eve

Focused as always. 

MC watches as Eve sits as still as a statue, unmoving, with a stone-faced expression. The cloaked individual’s thoughts are bound elsewhere, far away from reality. 

They don’t even realize MC shielding them from the rain with their wing. It’s rare treat to see them with their guard down like this, though...

 “Eve.” MC eventually succumbs to tapping Eve on the shoulder, snapping them out of their trance. 

 “Yes?” Eve turns their head in MC’s direction, and at that point they finally acknowledge the lack of rain pelting them. Tilting their head upwards, they’d softly speak. “Ah, how very sweet of you. My apologies, I was a million miles away.” 

 “Who or what was on your mind?” 

 A devilish smirk would play on Eve’s lips. They pull out a black umbrella from under their cloak, handing it to the angel. “Nothing or nobody in particular.”

Fenrir

He’d give MC a sweet grin, though there is a hint of sadness within it. No later than a few steps forward, the guilt eats at his heart for giving nothing in return. He’d stop MC with a raised hand and would begin to unclasp the buckles of his furred coat.

Moving in front of MC, he’d nod towards the coat in his hands, signifying that they should wear it. Waving a hand in the direction of one of their arms, encouraging them to raise it, he helps them slip into the brown coat.

Then, he’d help fasten the buckles, at this point to give him a reason to stay this close to MC. He’d take his time, studying the angel’s face, mesmerized. When he reaches the last buckle, he’d brush a hand against their cheek. 

A steady, warm, calloused hand. 

But that hand soon passes their cheek. 

He lifts up the hood.

Lunari

As the rain falls, so too does her mood. Yet when the MC lifts up their wing to shield her from the rain, her eyes lighten up in response. 

“You’re fucking amazing, MC.” She stares at the angel’s feathery appendage in awe. “Damn lucky, too. I’ve always wanted wings.” 

“It’s useful.” 

“I can just imagine myself right now. Floating high above the clouds.” She lifts a hand up at the sky, imagining that she’s cupping the moon with her hand. “I think I’d love to be an angel. You and your little brother make things look badass.”

Mortals...their innocence is admirable. 

Remilia

She’d 100% have an umbrella, but let’s just assume Eve stole it from her. 😛

MC would hear her scoff as she is unable to find her umbrella on her person. Frustrated, she finishes her search with an exasperated sigh. “Unbelievable.” 

Without being prompted to, the MC shields her from the rain with their wing. Remilia glances at the angel with a glint in her eye, her movement slowing as she wipes away some of the water that’s stuck to her hair like morning dew.

“You’re not getting anything by doing this,” she speaks, suspicion evident in her tone. 

“It’s not as deep as you think.” MC brushes the suspicion off.

“It better not.” She curtly responds. “You’re at the edge of my good side, so don’t you dare fall off my trust.”

“Well, it’s a good thing I have a wing to push me back up.”

The rest of the walk is silent.

...

MC finds, later in the day, an expensive looking coat and an umbrella of their favorite color. A note sits atop it in the neatest cursive they’ve ever seen: 

I am merely repaying you for your service. Do not expect anything more from this.

Sorin

Sorin’s laugh is hearty and whole when he witnesses the angel protecting him from the rain. “Your gesture stokes the flame, friend. I was afraid of growing dimmer by the tears of the sky.”

“To be honest, I was wondering if you had an umbrella in your wonderous collection of trinkets.”

“I do, back at home. Forty, in fact...” He begins to reminiscence of the past. That lost-in-thought look on his face lets the angel know he’s about to unload a whole story or two about umbrellas.

Oh no.

Daemin

Not being much of a gift-giver, especially to those he is not familiar with, he’d need a bit of encouragement and advice from MC. If MC told him to just find something he himself likes, he'll come to the party bearing the gift of a burlap sack filled with apples or fresh game.

He’d bust open the door, making everyone stop what they’re doing. Scanning the room, he’d search for the person.

Spotting them, he’d walk towards them like they’ve done something to piss him off. When he’s right in front of them, he’d look down on them, gripping the gift in one hand. 

“Take it,” he’d shove it into their arms. Without another word, he’ll turn to make his way towards MC and idle by them for the rest of the night lest the angel wants their space.

If MC gave Daemin a gift he didn’t like, he’d be a bit upset and confused. From his perspective, MC basically knows all of what he likes and doesn’t like. They’ve spent thousands of years hanging out with each other, so he’d assume they’re mad at him or messing with him. However, he’s conflicted because they still gave him something.

Cava'dren

They’d give the person money. It’s a foolproof gift, seeing as the person can buy what they actually want with the funds. If the person gets upset that Cava’dren didn’t at least try to find something nice, they’ll just shrug it off and throw a snarky reply.

If MC gave Cava’dren a gift they don’t like, they’d be playfully blunt about it. They don’t like to sugar-coat their words or tell white lies. Still, they’ll give their thanks. They might even turn it into a game, making a bet that if MC figures out what they actually like, they’ll let them in on a secret or something that’s worthwhile.

Crych

You will never catch them giving someone they barely know a present firsthand. Their cousin or someone they’re more comfortable with would have to be the one delivering the gift. They’d probably give the person a hand-crafted weapon, like a knife or bow. Maybe an easy-to-make trinket such as a necklace or charm.

If MC gave them something they didn’t like, they’d sound mad. They’d ask the angel “what is this?” 

In reality, they don’t mean to sound angry—they can’t help their tone. They’re confused about why they’re being given something more than they are upset. If the MC tells them that it’s a gift meant for them, they’ll freeze up. 

Crych would instinctively pull on their hair, muttering the smallest ‘thank you’ while mentally taking note to repay MC, even if the gift isn’t something they actually like. 

Eve

By the rarest chance that Eve is actually present at a party, they’ll stick to the corners or more secluded places. Being the little rat that they are, they would somehow know what to get and where to place the gift so that the person will find it. 

The person, stumbling upon the gift, would find a painting or sculpture of what they like, making the person uneasy. 

And if MC gave Eve something they didn’t like, they’d 100% pull a white lie and say they appreciate the sentiment. 💀 As simple as that.

Fenrir

Fenrir would spend day before the party trying to think of what the person may like. Should he go for something expensive? What’d make them happy? What if he got them something they hated?

He hopes the person enjoys flowers or a nice notebook. Or is that too simple? Auuuuuugh...

If MC gave him a gift he did not like, he’d still appreciate the gesture. The fact that they’ve given him a gift at all warms his heart. A strong need to reciprocate the kind act will eat at him, so he’d offer to take them somewhere nice or try to find a way to smoothly ask them what they like (so he may later go gift hunting for the item). 

Lunari

Lunari would gift the person a trophy of her most recent battle. It may be the horn of a beast or a medallion she plucked from the pocket of her enemy. Whether the person likes it or not, she’ll end up making them forget all about the gift by stirring up a conversation with them.

If MC gave her a gift she didn’t like, her smile would falter. Awkwardly, she’ll try to cover it up with praise and a change of topics.

“Wow, um...this is the best thing I’ve ever been given,” she scratches her head. “Very cool. Thanks. Oh, yeah! Come, try some of the drinks Sorin bought for the party.”   

Remilia

The person best be prepared for a luxurious present. It’d be an expensive gift bag containing exotic fruits, jewelry, or maybe even the latest tech if the area has them available. 

She wants to make sure her gift stands out compared to the rest. If someone manages to bring something better, she’d be pretty miffed about it.

If MC gave her something she didn’t like, she wouldn’t comment on it at all. She’d set it aside or put it in her bag while continuing to do whatever she was doing.

Sorin

There are so many things he already has in his possession that he could give as a gift, but he doesn’t want to give away anything he has. He’d go to the marketplace, looking for something interesting and gift-worthy.

By the end of the trip, he’d end up with several gifts for himself. And the gift he'd buy for the person would be random like odd little trinkets you’d stumble upon at a thrift store.
