In the world of Eldris, the recent infestation of binders and lifelines grows. They are eldritch entities made of the same essence as the living. Despite the commonality, it is clear that they do not belong in this world, and nobody knows where they come from. What is clear is that they are on the hunt for mortals who will become the ideal vessel for storing essence, and they’ll do whatever it takes to survive while on their conquest.
You and your brother, Daemin, are another anomaly in this world. The day you woke up in this strange land was the same day you were quick to learn of your newfound power. While you are an endless basin of life, your brother is a vacuum of death. He is in a constant state of decay, and he needs essence to live. However, with a surplus of essence, he can amass power beyond what a demon like himself should be capable of. The two of you make a dangerous pair, seeing as how you’re a limitless generator of essence and he can become a dangerous user when he has a lot of it. Will that combination of power go to your head?
With a feeling you’ve lost something other than bits of your memories, you and your brother embark on a mission. You both seek to find out where you are, what happened to you, and how to get back on track with achieving your primary goal: getting revenge.
But be careful, angel of Aether. There are many eyes aimed at you and your brother since your awakening, and mortal affairs tend sink anyone and everyone in like quicksand.

Daemin Ryder - Male | 7′2″ (218 cm) | Theme
The demon brother of the MC who is always by their side. Unlike his angelic sibling, he’s an Unholy who was born and raised in the Nether. He’s a monster—a true hellspawn to most, but that vile edge of his melts in the company of his kin.
He’s short-spoken and blunt with his words regardless of whomever he is talking to. Although he performs well in combat, he isn’t the brightest star in the sky. Words and burrowing his head in thoughts was never his thing. Instead, he prefers to live in the moment and let his actions do the talking. He leaves the thinking to his sibling.
He is rarely seen without his black suit of armor, but beneath his helmet is a short set of spikey black hair and a set of horns. He has a fair complexion and scars littered all over his face and body. His eyes are sharp, and they’re a rich vermillion color like most other Unholy beings. Although he is average in height for his kind, he still stands tall like a titan.
And while his sibling has a missing left wing, he is missing his right.
Crych - NB | 5'2" (157 cm) | Theme
Crych is a natural explorer of the wilds with an interest in gadgetry. They live in a small village hidden away in the environment. Most of their time is spent towards scouting and protecting the perimeters of their home, and in their free time they enjoy creating things that improves the quality of life.
They’re skittish with new people, but once you get to know them, you’ll find an explosive temper to deal with. If you look at them funny or inconvenience them in the slightest way they’ll snap at you. Despite their hostility, they’re an attentive listener and understanding individual.
Crych has long and wild hair that is a combination of grey with turquoise, black, and white streaks. They have dark brown skin and a set of fierce heterochromatic eyes that are blue and black. Those who pay close attention will notice that they have two foxlike ears that droop. When they’re angry or threatened, these ears swivel upwards to reveal an eye-like pattern on the fur of the inner ear. They wear a tank-top and black overalls that’ve seen better days. Their most notable possession are the long gauntlets they wear.
Eve - F / M / NB | 5′6″ (167 cm) | Theme
A wandering soul who is seen, but never found. Not much is known about this individual other than the fact that they seem to cherry-pick what gets to live and die. When they look at MC and Daemin, a sense of familiarity fills the air.
They are cunning and aloof, making them hard to understand their motives and intentions. Trying to talk to them is like trying to talk to someone on opposite day.
Eve has long locks of soft white hair partially hidden beneath their weathered black cloak. Bandages cover most of their body, such as their neck and arms. They possess a black blindfold that conceals their eyes. Although they seem feeble, looks can be deceiving.
Fenrir Alphenstein - M | 6′2″ (187 cm) | Theme
A mute mercenary from the north. He’s very fond of soaking in the environment and partaking in the arts. When all things are quiet, he tends to jot away in a notebook he keeps close to his person.
He travels alongside Remilia and Cava’dren, but he prefers to do things independently when given a choice. If a situation turns sour, he’s the type to quickly excuse himself. He does well in keeping his composure in check.
Fenrir’s hair is medium-length and a soft brownish grey. He has cool cobalt eyes and olive skin marked with a couple of battle scars. He wears a set of brown light armor and a large fur-collared coat that rests on his shoulder.
Lunari Pyan - F | 5′8″ (172.72 cm) | Theme
An exiled princess on a path of redemption. Her sister is Ashuri, but the way she talks about her sure doesn’t seem like it. She’s sisterly and endearing to those she’s on good terms with, but that gentle nature only reaches her words, not her actions.
She’s the type to walk into a tavern and befriend everyone in it by the end of the night. Her spirits are high, and her bold, brutish heart yearns for a good fight. One of her favorite topics is talking about the history of her great-axe, Sunbreaker.
Lunari has her hair styled into a brown wolf-cut that partially covers her left eye. She shares the same dark brown eyes as Ashuri, and her tan skin is a slightly lighter shade than her sister. She’s wears a heavy-set of silver armor with a symbol of the moon engraved into the center of her chest-plate.
Remilia Mhova - F | 5'10" (177 cm) | Theme
A royal huntress from a place known for birthing powerful beasts. She hunts all types of creatures for the royal family and takes pride in what she does. A lot. Up until recently, her prey had turned more…humanoid.
She makes it clear to everyone she meets that she means business. If she was at a house party, she’d be the stick-in-the-mud police officer tearing it down. She wants her job done, and nothing gets in the way of her work. Not even morals, not even people.
Remilia has long, wavy black and white hair. Her eyes are a purple like amethyst and her complexion is pale. She wears an array of expensive blouses, pants, corsets, or dresses that she’ll gladly show off. The most notable possessions she has are the earring she wears on her right ear and a golden pocket watch.
Sorin Laigar - M | 6′4″ (193 cm) | Theme
A former soldier who still has the fuel to work for others. He carries an obsession for collecting things. He’ll accept every and any token of gratitude, knick-knack, and object that catches his eye.
He’s a gentle giant who’ll keep at whatever he is doing with content. When there’s no work to be done, he’ll be off to find something to keep his hands busy. If you sit to have a conversation with him, you’ll have to be careful about your words. Once you get him started on something, he’ll go off on a tangent and talk your ear off.
Sorin has a set of hair he keeps up in a ponytail. His hair is as black as night, and hidden beneath the dark strands is an ombre of red and yellow. His eyes are black while his complexion is light brown and noticeably scarred by burns in certain areas.
Yonas/Yoelle Cava’dren - F / M | 5′9″ (175 cm) | Theme
A freeloader who has a knack for not giving a damn. Ask them to do an hour’s worth of work and they’ll come back around with triple the amount to do. They make it clear that they aren’t around to do jack for anyone. Somehow, they haven’t been kicked out of Remilia’s group.
They’re the type to sit back and relax with a smug grin plastered on their face while the world burns around them. Try to crack an insult or send sarcasm their way and they’ll crack one back at you. For someone who slacks off 24/7, they have a lot of nerve to pick a verbal fight with people they probably shouldn’t mess with.
Cava’dren has straight, light blonde hair that cuts just below the ears. They have a braid on one side of their face and a strip of hair on the other. Their eyes are the color of green tea, and their complexion is fair. They wear a sleeveless white turtleneck tunic coupled with wide leg pants.

ヽ(；▽；)ノ The main post is kind of outdated as I've changed some things here and there since then, however the premise remains pretty much the same. It makes me happy to hear that the summary really drew you in though.
I decided to take a step back and focus on my notes. I was really nervous at first because that meant that my time wouldn't be spent towards actually filling up that wordcount. Some part of me felt like I needed to hurry up so I could post a demo of the game, but in the long run that'd do me more harm than good.
So the past couple of months I came up with many good concepts to incorporate into the story. I've been applying some of what I learned from my Psychology classes into the story as well.

I have a question regarding appearances and stuff.
So are there any options for choosing what to wear in the game? Like armor similar to the brother of the MC but white/silver?
I had this idea of 2 armored and masked dudes that look very intimidating but when you meet them face to face, the armored mc is just very relaxed and pleasant to be around while deamin is just edgy and scary.
Do you get what I mean? Like opposites? Armor?

I made a post a while back explaining what was planned for the MC's customization, but I don't remember if I mentioned anything about armor.
I do know that I said the MC will start out with a uniform of white and gold. What I forgot to mention is that MCs who were previously studying to become Power soldiers have a set of white and blue armor with special detailing (in addition to the uniform).
If the MC didn't study to become a soldier back then, they'll have an opportunity to adorn armor a little bit later into the prologue. Customizable, of course, but that armor wont have the special detailing that signifies their relation to the Aetherian military.

"Making fun of our edgy brother" is an option, but not an obligation, right? Because I really want to make a very supportive sweetheart of a MC. One who is just the nicest person ever, in general, and only gets angry (but like, the sad and disappointed type of angry) if someone makes fun of his brother or is mean to him.

There'll be different ways MC and Daemin will interact as siblings. You can be nice to him, banter with him, hate his guts, etc.

A lot of stressful stuff has happened since my last update post, and the cherry on top is my PC getting stuck in an auto repair loop. I'm sending it to a shop to see if they can fix it because my efforts were fruitless. ( = = ; ) Luckily I was able to retrieve my important files, so my progress on the game remains unaffected.
To answer your question about MC and Daemin's ability to fly, they are unable to fly alone/without any help. However, there'll be ways to achieve flight, some more efficient than others. :D
Hi everyone o/ running over here to let you all know that I’m still hanging in there--I’m continuing to work on the story, but I’ve also been closing down on some stuff I normally do because of IRL things going on. (’o’ ; ) Being active on Tumblr was caught in the crossfire.
For now I’m going to keep working on the story while seeing how things pan out IRL. I can’t say how active I’ll be on here, but I don’t plan on being gone forever because I really like interacting with you all. Hopefully once things have been settled IRL I can continue on with my usual activity on here.

I felt so pumped to write during my trip, but this was me every time I sat in front of my laptop:
I also got sick the last few days of my trip, so it was hard to even write when I actually wanted to. But I’m back home and I’m feeling a lot better now, so that’s nice. 😎 👍 I hope to churn out some more text to get that wordcount up!
Anyways, this is the first draft of one part during the fight, in the prologue:

I’ve also been listening to calmer songs to balance things out for other parts, but this song in particular gives me so many ideas. I can’t thank my friend enough for introducing me to this absolute head-bopper.
Someone also sent me an ask 2-3 months ago that I finally got to, requesting for a drabble. I’ve worked on that a little bit, so you all should be seeing that sometime soon. :D (Hint: Daemin’s in it)
Other than that, I’m feeling pretty motivated and excited to write. Now more than ever. That trip really helped.
And finally, here’s two facts that I promised:
Aetherians (Holy such as the MC) measure time in an interesting way. For example:
One second -> One letter
One minute -> One word
One hour -> One sentence
One day -> One paragraph
One month -> One page
One year -> One chapter
And so on. :) Meanwhile, Netherians (Unholy such as Daemin), prefer to measure time in one unit only: cycles. Time is also doubled in the Ethers, so one year in Centeria (mortal realm) is two cycles/chapters in the Ethers.
Second fact:
Daemin doesn’t like sleeping on beds. Neither does Crych or Cava’dren.

Similar to a previous ask I've received about poly relationships, I don't want to misrepresent these types of relationships. And because I feel like I don't have the right amount of wisdom/knowledge on it, applying stats would be difficult if I don't know what to look out for.
I've planned for a system that's a bit similar to Shepherds of Haven (first IF that comes to mind) since I easily follow it's flow. The MC can be close friends with a character, romance them if applicable and desired, or be on very bad terms with the character.
