Hello there, well short answer yes. snk is pretty amazing, in both its anime and manga form and i would highly highly suggest at least giving it a try.

Long answer? Well when i first started watching it I was hooked by like the second ep and when I caught up to where there were fresh episodes coming out weekly I imitatively started reading the manga because I just had to know what happened next. One of the best things about snk is its animation that is fucking amazing. Im not saying that as a jab to the newer book 2 style of lok that some people think is sub-par, but simply because i have never seen a anime(/cartoon) as beautiful as snk. The clouds, the fight scenes, the scenery, even the fucking titans themselves are amazing. Just everything about the animation is drool worthy. Another thing that i love about snk (that a lot of other animes are actually really bad for) is the fact that there is no over the top fan-service for anyone. There are no gravity defying boob or dripping wet shirtless guys and yeah, maybe the out-fits they wear do make everyone look hot but they aren’t overly reveling and everyone gets the same.

Did i mention bad-ass female characters? Because oh boy there are a lot of them that are amazing and all have very rich and deep personalities. Also, some bad-ass female character are in love with each other which bring me to my next point that there are canon gay characters, which aren’t over sexualized and its not over played that they are gay to the extent to which being gay is there only character trait, they just get a normal romance that is even part of the main plot to an extent. Wow ok I have rambled a bit but just you and anyone else who is thinking “hmm i wonder if i should watch attack on titan” should watch it. Watch it here if you cant find anywhere else to watch it. Watch it.

Now as for whether its better then atla/lok? Well i think that is very much  a matter of personal preference. Each of the shows are stunning in there own ways and both are in my top 5 fav shows. Some things avatar just cant beat snk on but there are also some things snk just cant beat atla/lok on. I think that i like snk more but im just so much more obsessed with avatar and it’s characters. I can really sink my teeth in to atla/lok and its fanfics and fanart and ships. I read way too many fanfics of various avatar ships/friendship where as i dont really read any fanfics of other shows. I can really immerse my self into avatar’s fandom and whole the universe to the extent that i just dont think i could put anything above anything to do with the avatar universe (yes even the comics and lok).
