Attila aveva invaso la Gallia con la scusa di voler la mano di Onoria, sorella dell'imperatore Valentiniano III. La sua avanzata si fermò però davanti a Orléans 🏛️
L'arrivo combinato di Ezio e Teodorico I indusse Attila a ritirarsi e a dare battaglia in campo aperto.
Ezio schierò i Romani a sinistra, gli Alani al centro e i Visigoti sulla destra. All'inizio dello scontro occupò un'altura respingendo gli attacchi degli Unni ⚔️
