These fish tacos with a refreshing side salad are quick and easy to make, perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner. Crispy fried fish, zesty salad, and creamy avocado come together for a mouthwatering meal.
Ingredients: 4 white fish fillets. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 cup cornmeal. 1 tsp paprika. 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup buttermilk. 8 small tortillas. 1 cup shredded cabbage. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup diced red onion. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 2 tbsp lime juice. 2 tbsp mayonnaise. 1 tbsp hot sauce. 1 avocado, sliced. Lime wedges for garnish.
Instructions: Put the cornmeal, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix them together. Buttermilk the fish fillets, then coat them with the flour mix. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Fry the fish fillets for three to four minutes on each side, until they are golden and crispy. Shred the cabbage and put it in a separate bowl. Then, add the diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, mayonnaise, and hot sauce. You can warm tortillas up in a dry pan or the microwave for 20 seconds. To make tacos, put a crispy fish piece in each tortilla and then add salad mix, avocado slices, and a squeeze of lime juice on top. Serve right away and enjoy!
