Random prompt for sillies:
A character/s of your choosing x a plot armor grandma reader. I sent a similar prompt for someone who wrote doom characters, and the reader basically adopted some demon.
It's never not funny imagining an old woman that's almost blind and deaf taking things under her wing that she doesn't even know what they are. Demons, gods, soldiers, aliens. No one is safe from comfy sweaters and being over fed sweets.
this got a chuckle out of me when this showed up in my inbox lol.
i can already see the level of bs grandma!reader is at. like, imagine for a second. grandma!reader's plot armor is so thick, she has literal gods and probably higher ranked beings on their side — the Prime/Lesser Evils and Angiris Council from the Diablo series, the Emperor of Mankind and the Primarchs from Warhammer 40k (this includes all of the chapters of the Astartes), Dante and Vergil (or if you want to go absolutely mad, Mundus) from Devil May Cry, the Four Horsemen from Darksiders, Cereza from Bayonetta, or pretty much anyone else you can think of.
god forbid all of these powerhouses are in one singular universe too. no one, and i mean literally no one, can mess with grandma!reader.
some of these characters would be the doting type. dante and auriel, to name two examples. they'd be the caretakers of grandma!reader out of the rambunctious bunch and likely the most favored considering how they cause the least amount of trouble.
auriel stays with grandma!reader a majority of the time to provide companionship along with aiding grandma!reader with any of their needs. grandma!reader needs to grab something from a high shelf but can't reach it? don't worry, Auriel will fly up to acquire what they need. grandma!reader wants to play a game of checkers with auriel? sure thing! auriel's never played any man-made games before; it'll be an interesting and pleasant experience for the archangel.
dante is more the type to pop by every now and again to check up on grandma!reader. then grandma!reader proceeds to chastise dante on how exhausted and sad he looks — come now, join her for a cup of tea, she'll listen to his woes. it honestly turns out to be therapeutic for the devil-hunter and he'd express his gratitude; grandma!reader brushes him off, saying that it's what she's there for.
before he goes though, she'd want him to take these newly knitted sweaters back to the shop. hand-crafted them herself — one for dante and one for vergil! dante couldn't help but laugh. it's gonna be quite amusing to see vergil's reaction to the matching wears.
there are those that are admittedly more distant from grandma!reader than the others, notable examples are the demons and traitor primarchs. to them, they don't see grandma!reader as family, more so as an individual that should be respected and feared. diablo and mundus are the devious ones who try to harm grandma!reader in some way, shape, or form, only for it to end miserably when grandma!reader presents freshly baked cookies with two giant cups of milk for them. they'd be bemused by it, then feel those familiar roots of shame take hold before they ultimately duck their heads and accept grandma!reader's gifts (while the nephalem, vergil, and jeanne stand menacingly behind her).
if there is one spoken rule though, it's to never engage in an intergalactic war with one another. hate each other all you want, the last thing grandma!reader needs to handle is their adopted family start clawing at each other's throats.
The Emperor and the Primarchs begrudgingly make truce with the forces of Chaos and their alternate universe equivalents (xenos are still exterminated, they just don't tell grandma!reader that they're performing war crimes). same story goes with the Angiris Council and the Prime/Lesser Evils.
for Dante and Vergil making peace with Mundus though? it isn't gonna happen. mundus ripped away both their childhoods and parental figures, to try and make amends with that murderer just isn't gonna fly. grandma!reader understands; she won't force her adopted-grandsons to do anything that they're uncomfortable with.
it's funny though, the more i think about it. grandma!reader starts to end up as this revered divinity by those who meet her and witness the legions she keeps tucked under her wings. to wield that much raw power is simply unheard of — with her kindness alone, she tames the likes of gods and entire empires. anyone who tries to plot against grandma!reader are easily discovered by the likes of special operations sangheili and assassinated without a trace. worlds, dare i say even universes, that attempt to go to war with grandma!reader are crushed under the universal might of all her family (er— don't tell her that her surrogate family eradicated an entire universe for her). it's just flat out insane and i love it.
baal does too. he encourages all of the chaos and it does not help matters at ALL.
