A hassle-free way to prepare a succulent turkey breast for your Thanksgiving dinner using a slow cooker. The turkey comes out juicy and flavorful, making it a perfect centerpiece for your holiday feast.
Ingredients: 1 turkey breast about 3-4 pounds. 1 onion, sliced. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1 teaspoon dried rosemary. 1 teaspoon dried sage. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup chicken broth.
Instructions: Salt, pepper, dried thyme, rosemary, and sage should all be used to season the turkey breast. Set a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil. Cook the turkey breast over high heat until all sides are golden brown. In the bottom of the slow cooker, put garlic and onions that have been sliced. Place the turkey breast that has been seared on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker. Cover the turkey breast with chicken broth. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the turkey breast is soft and cooked all the way through. When the turkey breast is done, take it out of the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Then, cut it into pieces. Serve hot with your favorite sides for Thanksgiving.
