Spicy Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches are a delightful combination of crispy, spicy fried chicken nestled between warm, flaky biscuits. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or a satisfying lunch, these sandwiches are sure to please your taste buds.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 cup buttermilk. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 4 biscuits, split and toasted. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 slices of tomato. 4 slices of cheese optional. Hot sauce optional. Mayonnaise optional.
Instructions: Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes. In a separate shallow dish, mix together flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and dredge in the seasoned flour mixture until well coated. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Transfer chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. To assemble sandwiches, spread mayonnaise if using on the bottom half of each biscuit. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, fried chicken, and cheese if desired. Drizzle with hot sauce if desired and cover with the top half of the biscuit. Serve immediately and enjoy!
