here’s one stewing in my head rn: you were browsing on the web for something bigger than the cramped space you called an apartment when you see this house being surprisingly cheap, it comes with plenty of nice furniture too! apparently the last owner was ’sick’ of it and just wanted to move out.

to your surprise, they left some weird glasses here, and for fun, you threw them on. you weren’t expecting to see a less than happy (but pretty nonetheless) woman standing by ready to seemingly berate you, only to be startled to meet a new face!

Turns out, these glasses made everything come alive. It was originally for the ‘last’ owner, but needless to say, they weren’t..great. Manipulative, rude, and seemed to only romance most of the objects just for the benefits (I.e. Mac sorted their files, Timothy scheduled their days, etc etc). Unfortunately, while you were a new person, they all seem real hesitant to let another person into their lives..but you, oh so charming you, got a way of opening people’s hearts again, it seems.

(bonus: I can imagine many of the characters strictly saying they’re not looking for romance after the last owner and say they want to stay as friends. you respect their boundaries and become good friends with them all, deciding to focus on other objects if you want to do so. unfortunately, it’s just a little too easy falling in love with you anyways and now they have to stick by their own stupid rule, maaaybe hoping you show some signs of wanting to push it too, but NOPE you’re just so respectful and cautious and sweet and it’s making them fall harder and fuck characters like Dorian or Eddie are faceplanting into the counter trying to somehow will his newfound feelings away)

Trying to write the game's prologue but my brain keeps drifting to parts of the game's story that won't release for a while. I'm probably gonna put together a timeline of the story's events so that I can map things out better (3/26/26)

ground rules and expectations

i usually only do double-up roleplays, especially since i often do oc x canon stuff. however, we can always have the characters share one scenario, so long as it includes both of our characters!

i don't have a hard limit for messages and responses, but it'd be preferable for replies to be at least more than 3 sentences. if you are having trouble with keeping things interesting or continuing the storyline, please don't hesitate to let me know!

take as much time as you need with responses! though, i often send a quick check-in message at least 12 hours without a reply. these usually come in the form of silly stickers or random ideas. if you need time to yourself or are busy, please don't hesitate to let me know. speaking of times, my timezone is pacific standard time!

The Dispatch-like strategy aspect is likely going to be scrapped, or at least dialed down.

I'm likely going to recycle concepts and ideas from my old PAYDAY 2 dating simulator concept, as I think it would be fitting for this one.

I'm currently trying to rewrite the prologue scene, though I'm having a little bit of writer's block.

I'm really excited to write and design Maskless Mark, as I've had a few particular ideas stuck in my head.

There will be an option to dye Lensless's hair, and whatever you pick will reflect the sprites in game. I know it's gonna be a nightmare to draw/program, but it would he such a clever detail.

Because the player is an experiment of the GDA, they're going to have superpowers, which the player will choose at the beginning of the game.

Whatever choice is made dictates starting stat points—depending on the player's stats, certain choices will be available and may provide unique dialogue or events. (Similar to Cyberpunk 2077 or Date Everything!)

Drawing a hint of inspiration from Date Everything!, the more you progress down a character's route, the more your stats will be affected (e.g., advancing friendship w/ certain characters increases a stat category). The concept is a work in progress, but I'll get there.

The most difficult character to design by far is Viltrumite Mark—I literally can't visualize him in anything except the Viltrumite suit, and honestly? It wouldn't be the least surprising thing if he just wore it all the time.
