Finally met Locke! Honestly, iconic of him to show up, threaten to take down all of crime.net, and decide that weâre friends now
And I still hate him for it.
To be for realius for a minute, I honestly wish that we could've gotten more out of Locke than what we got. As much as I hate his character (I don't take kindly to people yelling at me and blaming me for shit that I didn't do or was out of my control, which is all he fuckin' does on heists), STRBRZ did him soooooooo fuckin' dirty by replacing him with Shade in 3. I mean this from a narrative standpoint. (Got nothin' against her being made into the Gang's leader in 3. I dunno shit about her since I stopped playing that game, so I have nothing to comment on for her character, anyway.) 'Cause, Locke was being set up as the 'replacement for Bain, by Bain's own end-of-life wishes'.
And then they just trashed him. Unceremoniously.
As much as I don't like the prick, that even took me aback, 'cause the VA/FA for Locke was talking so excitedly about PD3, just like Eric Etebari (Dallas' FA in PD2) had been doing. And they just dumped both of them. STRBRZ burned so many damned bridges with PD3âincluding the narrative one between it and 2 by choosing to not keep Locke around. The gall is frankly off the charts.
I can't believe that I'm arguing on Locke's behalf to keep him in PAYDAY. Am I sick?
Whatâs the in-universe reason for the Payday gang to be in the Alesso heist?
