🌿 Lord of the Forest 🌿
Just a fun one of a Drymarchon melanurus erebennus, or Texas indigo snake, with round-lobed hepatica. Drymarchon are the coolest snakes, sorry I don't make the rules.

Gomez looking fab after another perfect shed.
looking for different types of snake blogs
i tend to just reblog other snake posts, don’t often post my own, but aside from wanting variety i just want to see more species on my dash. i see a lot of ball pythons, but not enough others
if you own/post about the following, reblog this and i’ll check you out! if i follow you my main blog will be what the notification says to you.
-Hognose snakes, not just western but also eastern, mexican, speckled, or madagascan hognoses
-Drymarchon species. i love indigo snakes but im already following the biggest blog for them who doesnt post much, and i also think yellowtail/blacktail cribos are cool
-White Lipped Pythons
-Kingsnakes, especially different kinds.
-Boas. any kind, from bci/bcc to tree boas, dumerils boas, and anacondas
-Reticulated Pythons. i dont see nearly enough retics on my dash, i mostly see them on instagram
-Burmese Pythons are also great
-i am curious about House Snakes, so maybe
-I might follow you for venomous species, but it depends on how i see them being handled/spoken about on your blog because while i love how beautiful they can be, i dont recommend them as handleable species. i know people who do keep them as pets but i personally have a fear of snakes that can kill me if i spook them
Black Mussurana aka Black Cribo (Clelia clelia), family Colubridae, Peru
This unassuming large black snake feeds almost exclusively on other snakes, including a wide variety of venomous snakes.
They are known to be resistant (if not immune) to the venoms of most or all of the venomous snakes they encounter across Central and South America.
