I'm sorry for asking you on a blank blog. I'm just so horribly shy and wanted to still have a chance to ask you. I saw the hate you were getting and I was in awe how you handled yourself. I also see your fics doing well and wanted advice because it sucks when you don't get recognition for the effort you put in and ugh it's frustrating sorry it's late here and please just ignore me if this makes you uncomfortable
Just⦠have fun with it.
I swear Iām not being flippant. I know it sounds like the kind of fake-deep nonsense youād find written in cursive on a mug sold at an Etsy shop, but it is genuinely the best advice I've personally recieved. Did I listen? Of course not. Did I get burned every time I joined a new fandom? Oh, like a moth to a flamethrower, baby!
Because hereās the thing: sometimes you get lucky. The algorithm pats you on the head, the stars align, and suddenly your post gets 10k notes because you wrote one spicy paragraph and Tumblr collectively lost its mind.
Other times? If youāre chasing clout, you end up posting daily like youāre running a content sweatshop in your own brain, churning out stuff you donāt even like just because you know the fandom will gobble it down.
And yeah, I'll be the first one to admit that the numbers are nice. The recognition is nice.
But itās fandom.
Not a job.
Not a career.
Not something worth losing sleep, joy, or sanity over.
One day, you'll sit back and realize:
Wait⦠who actually cares if no one reads my stuff?
Itās fanfiction. I had fun writing it. I laughed, cried, spiralled dramatically, tried risky styles, dove into weird genres that would never see the light of day anywhere else, and goddamn, it was FUN.
And hereās the unfortunate cosmic punchline: say you really do sell your soul for clout.
You blow up. Your notes skyrocket. Your follower count climbs like a stock market bubble.
And then⦠what?
Suddenly one story āunderperformsā and youāre spiraling.
People expect more and youāre drowning.
Your joy evaporates, and youāre producing for numbers instead of passion... and even the numbers start feeling paper-thin.
It's like eating sugar for dinner, fun at first, then...just hollow.
Most readers, most lurkers, most of the internet? They consume quietly and leave you just the same. Thatās normal.
But the few who stay: who get your humour, your brainrot, your storytelling voice, now those people become creative soulmates. None of that comes from chasing external validation.
It comes from creating freely.
For yourself.
For fun.
For that ridiculous idea that makes you snort at 2 A.M.
Your fun starts the second you stop handing out permission slips for your own joy.
(Sorry for the rant, and taking a while on answering asks...I'm trying to catch up š)
On Recognizing the Mini-Burnout
There is a distinct, insidious difference between standard writerās block and a system-level creative shutdown. Standard block is usually a structural puzzle: a plot hole you haven't solved yet, a character standing in the wrong room, or a scene that lacks clear stakes. You can usually think or research your way out of standard block.
A mini-burnout, however, isn't a narrative problem. It is a neurological and physical boundary.
It happens when your emotional reserves, physical health, or life stress drain your battery down to critical levels, but your brain that is accustomed to using creative writing as an anchor or an escape tries to force draft output anyway. When that happens, the machinery grinds, sparks, and stalls.
If you are trying to write tonight and failing, take a step back and check if any of these markers sound familiar.
Normally, engaging with your source material acts like lighting a fuse. You look at character concept art, listen to dramatic game cutscenes, or re-listen to soundtrack cues, and your brain immediately starts generating dialogue, headcanons, or scene beats.
During a mini-burnout, that feedback loop breaks. You can immerse yourself in the exact things that usually inspire you, but instead of spark, you feel a hollow disconnect. The media feels like noise, or worse, like an assignment you are failing to complete.
When your nervous system is overloadedāwhether from physical pain, sensory fatigue, or daily interpersonal stressāyour brain perceives high-demand tasks as threats rather than pleasures.
Drafting feels like dragging a heavy stone up a hill in the dark. The words on the page look flat, sterile, or embarrassing. The friction between what you want to feel and what you actually feel breeds intense irritability.
If opening your document feels like picking a fight with yourself, you aren't uninspired. You are spent.
We often treat the brain as a disembodied machine that should produce prose on command regardless of physical context. But tension headaches, lingering migraines, eye strain, and physical exhaustion are active vetoes from your body.
A hard truth for chronic creators: You cannot out-think an inflamed body. When physical pain or deep exhaustion is present, your brain diverts all excess bandwidth to simple survival and pain management. It actively shuts down deep imaginative simulation to conserve power.
If you are experiencing a 24-to-48-hour creative brownout, pushing through it with sheer force will only extend the recovery time.
Give yourself explicit, non-negotiable permission to not write a single word tonight. Closing the document isn't quitting. It's tactical preservation. Stop checking if "the spark is back yet" every twenty minutes by staring at blank pages or forcing yourself to analyze art. Let the input sit without demanding an output.
Turn off the screens, dim the ambient lighting, and remove the expectation to be productive, communicative, or creative. Your talent, your worldbuilding, and your characters do not vanish simply because you need to sleep off a flare-up or step away for a day. They will be waiting in exact alignment when your nervous system calms down.
Writing is a long game. Respecting a temporary shutdown tonight is what ensures you still have the passion and energy to write tomorrow.
How I Deal with Writerās Block
(And What Actually Works for Me) Writerās block.Itās a term we hear a lot in the writing world, often used to explain why someone stops writing, temporarily or even permanently. But honestly? Iām not sure I believe writerās block is real. Not because I write without bumpsāfar from it. But Iāve found that writing, for me, is about having the right technique and the right system. That means,ā¦

Hey Q! Sorry for bothering you, but for some reason I can no longer find any of your tik tok accounts š Did they get deleted or something?
Hi this is Q! Iām coming out of the woodwork to address this, since I did went radio silent out of the blue so itās not a bother at all
The short answer is Yes, I deleted my tiktok
Yes delete not deactivate, Iām not coming back to That app or IG or Twt, I deleted my socials except here and YouTube, I honestly felt so overwhelmed with everything, I realized Iām not even posting for myself anymore there. A lots of people crossed my boundaries time and time again I felt so helpless, bitter with myself. I guess I was just overwhelmed with the attention I got; both positive and negatives ones.
Im done and I want to start over so thatās why Iām here and on YouTube, I already posted some of these on my community tab on YT but hereās what I have in mind for the future of the content I want to create: more detail under the cut, and also;
CW: very brief mention of spiraling, harm inflict oneself or others, paranoia, etc
