Joseph king of dreams 💕💕 I love this film by dreamworks , there’s a powerful message behind it , even if you’re not religious (which I’m not , I’m an atheist). It teaches that if you’re a smart but kind person you can do anything , you can rise through the ranks. It also teaches forgiveness and the pain that comes with it. He forgives his brothers ; even though it may be painful for him, in the long run he can move forward and be happy. Don’t let the past , don’t let hatred , blind you , it will only limit your future. Also I LOVE IT BECAUSE IM AN ANCIENT EGYPTIAN NERD .... I have issues okay. Zaphnath paaneah ( some think he may have been the iconic Egyptian figure Imhotep) there has been recent discoveries to suggest that there may have been a Joseph in ancient Egypt , around 1850 bc and 1650bc a water way was built due to a drought and famine that threatened to destroy Egypt. This waterway was called “The waterway of Joseph” ... once again eerily similar. As much as I don’t believe in god , I believe that the bible, the Torah , the qu’aran may be a reliable source for history , a documentation of human kind and valuable lessons taught in history. IM A NERD OKAY BUT OMG. Do you guys understand just how exciting it is to know that some of these legendary stories and movies we are shown , could be real?
The prince of Egypt will always hold a special place in my heart. It teaches that as long as you believe in yourself and others surrounding you , you can be free of anything. Seti I is Ramases II father - think how it is an eerily similar situation to Tutankhamun’s father Akhenaten ( Amenhotep IV) , who ordered 40,000 slaves to help move the residence in Egypt from Thebes to middle Egypt , where the Egyptian civilisation would only worship one god , the sun god Aten. He ordered lavish temples be built at an excessively quick rate. He was an extremist in some ways , entirely banning the old Egyptian gods, until his son Tutankhamun is like mmmhmm likes change the religion back mofo. It’s interesting in many ways how the bible and the Torah, the qu’aran in someways have eerily similar depictions of story however not entirely accurate. But AHHH ITS SO EXCITING
