Extremely stupid realization:
Tell me why the Deep Caverns in Slugterra and the Boiling Isles from owl house can't be the same place. You reach both via weird portals that require tunneling deep/deeper underground. There's strange forces beyond understanding and creatures that look mostly human but are biological not in there.
It isn't a perfect one to one comparison here, but we've barely seen into the deep caverns. And for both regular Slugterra caverns and the Boiling Isles the surface/human world is mythical and strange.
But the similarities are there enough for a crossover idea to be really fun and really interesting.
Especially when you consider that Belos and his brother almost kind of mirror the Shane clan, only they're a more corrupted form of it. Instead of being protectors of both worlds, Belos is just outright evil and selfish, and his immediate reaction is to purge this place, whereas the Shanes and the guy who discovered the eastern caverns want to Preserve them.
The idea of combining these together just seems interesting to me. You'd need to do a lot of melding, because the Magic in Owl House isn't super easy to explain, both runes and the witch stuff. Though i guess Shadow Clan does mystic magic things, and we could definitely build off of that. Maybe Slugs are actually tapping into magic in an extremely limited capacity, and all species have altered versions of the organs that let witches cast spells? And Floppers just lack this specialized organ?
It just feels like a really interesting world fusion to write and parse out the details and explanations of.
