birthday gift for @threephasebird and part of a series that I’m working on.

The concept is 3zun, flowers and the “no evil monkeys”. Here we have Lan Xichen and “See no evil”.

This is the first full colour painting/drawing I finished in ages and I learned a lot while working on it, including “This paper is not suited for mixed media”, “I hate flowers”, “Maybe flowers aren’t so bad” and “Flowers are actually fun to draw”.  

Markers, coloured pencils, ink and gel pens.

Flower meenings under the cut. I deliberately chose flowers that don’t have different meanings in China, although I’m not an expert, so who knows if I got everything correct
