do you have advice on a return to sender spell with bite that a beginner can do? I’m not advanced enough to something very baneful (everything I keep finding is for advanced practitioners 😭), but I also don’t want it to not have a nice bite added to it
The best thing I can recommend is something like a mirror jar. I've recommended this to a number of people for counter magic, return to sender spells, or simple protection from baneful magic. This post has one version of the spell that I've used in the past.
For something with a little more bite, skip the vinegar and fill your jar with mirror shards, a pinch of dirt from your yard, a palmful of peppercorns and mustard seeds, and nails or thorns. You can use decorative mirror tiles from the craft store if you don't feel like breaking a larger one for the spell. Seal the jar with wax or duct tape and place it where it will catch sunlight at least once a day, to reflect back any harm sent at you through magical means.
For added protection, you can bury a nail or railroad spike at each corner of your property, so long as you're not in a situation where you have to worry about the presence of iron.

Spell to Counter Another's Magic
If, for some reason you believe that another person is using their powers adversely to affect you in some way, remove their negative influences with this simple spell.
You will need:
2 teaspoons almond oil (or any suitable carrier oil)
Rosemary essential oil
A mixing bottle
A sheet of white paper
A black ink pen
A white candle
A purple candle
A fireproof bowl or cauldron
Add 3 drops of rosemary essential oil to the carrier oil and charge it by rolling the mixing bottle between the palms of your hands, focusing your thoughts on the purpose of your spell weaving.
Now light the white candle and, focusing on its flame, see whoever you think is being negative towards you becoming smaller and smaller.
Anoint the purple candle with the charged oil, drawing the oil away from you as you are banishing something that has been directed towards you.
Before lighting the candle, write on the paper "All blocks are gone" and fold it 3 times.
Now light the candle and use its flame to set fire to the paper.
Focusing on the flames, say the following 3 times, at the last adding, "And let it be done that it harm no one":
As this paper burns away
Elements please hear me pray
Turn back the ill will sent to me
And send it on its way
As the flames dim, see the ill will dissolving with them. Bring the session to an end in accordance with your tradition.

Modern Times Counter Magic on tap at the Modern Times Flavordome in North Park. A 4 of 4. Simply a wonderful hazy IPA. Quite similar to some of the others from Modern Times in profile, but I’m not complaining. Looks like juice, tastes like a blend of fruit juices with a hugely pungent tropical nose. Some nice resinous and pithy bitterness in the finish cuts through it all. Excellent.

Counter
Preventative
Believed Essex
Dried thistle heads and paper, wrapped in Oak Bark. Usually tied together with lambs wool (you can use string). Burn the paper and thistles from one side of the bark to the other.
Theory - The paper will attract the spell and the thistle will nullify it. I have seen an alternative version with Ragwort but seeing as Ragwort usually has negative effects - I really would not advise.

hello! do you happen to know anything about reverse work or something that could work like that? thanks a lot!
You mean counter magic, or turning magic, that sort of thing?
I have a little blurb about it on my page regarding cursebreaking and hex removal. It’s simplistic and doesn’t go into a whole lot of detail, but it does provide a basic idea and a list of herbs you can use for the purpose.
