Hi I have a question: I found this beautiful dead bee and it seems to have died of dehydration of some sort. What is a good way to preserve it? I want to display it while showing off how pretty it is but I wouldn't know how! Are there methods besides pinning (so I could admire all sides)? Thank you!
You can get longer pins to put in a cloche so you can see all sides! I have a few bugs preserved this way. Sometimes the pin is stuck all the way through the bug and into the base so the bug is still a ways off the base and sometimes it's glued to either a pin or a clear stick. If you google "cloche insect pinning" and look at images, there are a lot of different options that may give you some ideas :)
