I feel like most of his pokemon are pretty obvious in their inspiration. I picked manectric as his dog pokemon as a call back to the big dogs, since electrike is green and yellow like him and has a mega evolution like Jimmy's absol, but also because manecrtic is my favourite dog pokemon so I had to give it to somebody important.

Also I gave him ninetales before finding out that it appears to be his favourite pokemon and has used it in multiple playthroughs, I mostly picked it for weeb reasons.
