“Must we meet like this always? Under the veil of darkness?” Whispered the cloaked princess, though there was an undisguisable breathless giddiness to her voice, innate to all young secret keepers.
“I fear it is safest we meet this way,” the young groom returned, casting a glance of suspicion over his shoulder. Once certain of their solitude, he turned to meet her eyes, and finding that her countenance had fallen at his unguarded frankness, added, “For the present, at least.”

Ruby Volume 5 chapter 8 review
I know I was gone for a while and didn't have a review for chapter 6 and 7 as I felt not enough happen in either one of those episodes to Warrant a review but this episode oh my God it really I just need to get into it
So let's cover all of the team...i'm still calling them team RNJR so let's go over all of that stuff first we had an amazing scene with Ruby Yang and Weiss where we got to see some great interactions and they finally addressed how each of them feels about Blake. I'm glad that Yang doesn't immediately forgive her and she still is angry that Blake left the way she did.
I love this scene between Yang and Weiss weather talking about how each of them grew up we finally got confirmation that Willow is an alcoholic...although it is interesting that the news that her husband only married her for her name made her an alcoholic it seems like she really cared about him and I really want to know more about her character
Bumblebee shippers must be overjoyed with how much Yang was talking about how she needed Blake but I will admit that entire scene was really heartwarming
Now let's get to the part of the episode I love which was all of the Blake stuff. First she got a note to meet her in a dark alley by the way I love how she went there completely sure her friend wasn't going to jump her that is an immense amount of faith
There is a spider faunus and that is probably the most amazing thing because my OC was a spider faunus.
Also confirm that Ilia was totally gay for Blake but in my opinion this kind of hinders the Bumblebee ship because the fact that Ilia was also fighting for Blake's attention but didn't notice Ilia over Adam kind of to me implies that she doesn't see women in a romantic fashion at least that's what I interpreted from the scene
And then of course son comes in and saves the day I'll be at he beat up two faunas we don't even know the name of so..
We see ghira and Kali being attacked at their house Kali was putting up some sort of fight but I was really into gear as fight see we saw he was a very capable fighter and then my boys the Albaine twins came and we got to see Ghira Hulk out and show his van is traits which I'm wondering now if his feet are also still the trade or if it was the claws hidden
So this was easily a spectacular episode I did enjoy episodes five and six but I felt there wasn't enough plot progression in them to Warrant a review if you are curious to what I thought about them as a review episode 6: 5/10 episode 7: 8/10. But for this episode which was so amazing I'm giving this one a solid 9/10
RWBY volume 5 chapter 5 review
This is going to be another fairly short review as I can I don't have too much to talk about but this did give us some interesting plot development. I'm also going to say right now I really don't like how the episodes are getting shorter I wish they did stay on that 20 minutes per episode deal
So I'm going to talk about everything that happened in the Menagerie in this episode. We got to see Blake and Sun trying to recruit people and honestly I'm surprised that there aren't more people that are willing to fight. It's a bit unrealistic that nobody else on the island would want to fight. Even with the explanation about them running away from the fighting I don't believe it that nobody else would want to fight. I'm glad we got to see a bit more into Blake's character and how she thought of things in the earlier volumes and we got to see more of how her mind works. And then towards the end of the episode we had everything that went with Fennec, Corsic, Ilia. Some part of me actually wants their plan to go through and Blake to come back too late and having her family died it definitely would make the series a lot darker but also a lot more realistic.
I will admit that the team RNJR part did sort of tear me off of bed first when Ruby mentions that Oscar will be "combat ready" and then when Ruby talks about everything that happened with the fall of Beacon and how she still carries on all in all I thought it was a really good characterization moment for Ruby
All in all the part I only really enjoyed watching was Ruby & Oscars moment I could do without Menagerie with everything else that's going on I'd rather be focusing on that. Also when the FUCK are we going to get any closure about Tyrian. 4/10

A memory with my closest friend was when we went on our first trip to San Diego together. Overall, it was a fun experience going to the beach, her getting a tattoo, eating good food, and just exploring a new environment with someone you consider your closest person. Though, the most memorable part was the fact that we were finally doing the plans we dreamt of when we were kids. It was definitely a surreal experience being so young and planning different trips with my best friend, thinking these times were going to be far in the future, and then finally being able to travel to places we only saw online as an adult together.
With this being our first trip, it reminded me of how even though so much time has passed, my best friend and I are able to go back to each other and still feel close. As most of my time and energy went towards college and hers toward her job, drifting away was definitely a fear of mine. Though, going on this trip solidified our friendship for the both of us. Even though I consider myself a high maintenance friend with my love language being quality time, growing up made once in a while hang outs our norm. Going to San Diego, it was able to bring us that nostalgic feeling of still being kids with your closest person, exploring a new city together. Even though distance and time has brought us apart, I knew we would always be together.

10. What is a memory with your closest friend and how does it exemplify your friendship together and how you value friendship as a whole (250 words minimum)
One of my closest memories was with my friends when we went on a trip to San Diego this summer. This trip exemplifies our friendship together because we all agreed to hang out and go on a trip together to spend time and have fun! This memory exemplifies our friendship because we all had a really good time together And a lot of fun. This memory shows our friendship together because we all made each activity that we did fun and unique in our own way.It is a really big memory for me to watch the fireworks on the Fourth of July and we were just having fun being ourselves. I value our friendship because they are always there for me and I am always there for them. We went on a hike and went to the beach and my friend showed us parts of her hometown which is a special thing to experience. I value our friendships because we all stay connected and got clsoe to each other because of our past job at dutch bros. I love all my frienfd because This was a big memory because I was able to meet my friends Mom and get to know her family more and just more about her hometown. It was special because I was able to meet her family and we were able to stay at her hometown house too. Overall, this memory is significant because even if we are all new friends, it reminds me that these are friends that I will have for a while and hopefully forever. I am grateful to think back about this memory and just remember Fourth of July being in San Diego with them.
