I didn't come up with it! That honor goes to some of the OG Foxiyo fans who first came up with this delicious crack pairing. @countessofbiscuit touches on the history in this post. But my gateway drug were the early fanfics like Perception by @amukmuk

Fox, off duty (he works as a detective now) somehow stumbles across a dying Mon Cala woman (unsure why she is dying, some sort of accident perhaps?) and tries to help

The woman’s only focus is on the baby she has been protecting. She gives her to Fox, tells him her name is Tica, and begs him to take care of her.

Fox swears he will. The woman dies.

Fox summons his precinct out to help deal with the situation. The father is dead on the scene as well.

By now, his precinct knows Fox. He has already adopted two children. Someone suggests trying to look for other family, they’re trying to identify the victims, someone else starts making noise about contacting the Coruscant version of CPS, thinking that they need to get the baby away before Fox gets too attached, after all his wife just had a baby two weeks ago, surely she won’t want another—

The smarter members of the precinct on the scene realize that this is already a lost cause. The well-meaning but less smart junior officer who can’t really comprehend loving someone as family if they aren’t your literal blood and who is trying in his own tone deaf mildly insulting way to protect the stability of Fox’s marriage says something along the lines of ‘I’m sure her mom didn’t mean that you personally had to adopt her, you looked after her and now the professionals can take over, she’s not your problem anymore—‘

Someone pulls junior-officer away before he can find out how well Fox can throw a punch while holding a baby

Anyway Tica is Fox’s daughter now and the only one who is allowed to take her from him is his wife, since she is also Riyo’s daughter.

I love both of them so much ugh😣 since I can’t choose which one is better, I posted both.
