So, Taylor said she was halfway through writing ts7 when she wrote Lover. We assumed it was June 2016, because that’s when Cornelia St. was bought, you know, the place that’s their place, where they make the rules.

And I thought that was that. That Lover was written June 2016...BUT...

After writing the entire song all night from not being able to sleep, she then flew to NY the next day and completed all id Lover with Jack within a single day. And here’s her outfit the VERY NEXT DAY in the studio with Jack:

But I believe Lover was written before CIWYWT due to the line “I’m laughing with my lover.”
